I think he did the right thing weakening the team and subbing off good players, but surely giving Rooney minutes is just further revealing how bad he is and costing us money.
Although it took most of England 4-5 years to notice he was shite so I guess another game won't make much difference.

The only reason to leave him on was to show how bad he is. His presence just mucks up the team balance so much no matter where he plays.

If Rooney played to put him in the shop window then I think you have to be careful about showing too much. He was gassed after 20 mins again. Playing a sub role and getting max of 20 mins and looking ok against tiring defenses, with an outside chance of a goal or assist would be better. Play him too long and his shittiness is obvious. I know some fans may still need convincing he should go but he can only go if someone wants him.

That is some record he has. Regardless of what people think of him he is an absolutely brilliant manager even if his sides do bore the pants off you.
