I was actually more hopeful for this than any of our recent knockout matches against Barca/Bayern. I don't even know why.

To be fair at half-time I was pretty impressed. I thought they had played well and looked good for a draw. Then the wheels totally came off.

CDMs just a classic bottler side really. Find 'unlucky' ways to lose. They're the Spuds of the Champions League.

I mean the 4-1 win was typical of their ability to blow mediocre teams away when it doesn't really matter. If they'd have had to have won that game it would have been a totally different match.

You just know that when it comes to the first leg someone like Walcott or Ox will be completely invisible, whilst they let in a soft goal at the other end.
I was being optimistic. Bottle went in the second half. Were lucky to get away with 1-5.

Enjoy your lemonade sledger.

They were doing well.

I don't mean to rub it in because I don't like Bayern and was pretty indifferent to the result. But I think the Arsenal Fan OTT hyperbole after this one is basically justified. The performance from 2-1 onwards was much, much worse than a team of this quality should ever play. They were losing tackles in situations where I thought the Bayern man was making a mistake even going for the ball. Defensive shape that a Sunday league side would be ashamed of. No pressure on the ball and nobody tracking a runner going in behind on almost every attack. You'd have to call it unprofessional really.

Hate seeing Germans beat any English side. Can't see anything changing at Arsenal till Wenger goes, thing is he will go when he wants.

This result tonight might be the result that sees Sanchez and Ozil leave in the summer.

Always a risk playing away against a top side. If momentum and the crowd get on top of you then you're ****ed.

German sides in a knockout round is always something to worry about. Never feel good about us facing them. If you go defensive you worry about getting boned with an away goal 2nd leg. You go at them and you risk the tie getting out of hand early.

I really think Wenger's time might be up at the end of the season. Media are ramping up the pressure on him in a way I haven't seen before. I only check BBC TBF, but that's the impression I'm getting.
