Can't say that what I've seen from Pogba over the Euros makes me think he's worth a record transfer fee and 300k a week wages. He's a good promising midfielder but I don't see him as being capable of taking a team from 7th to 1st. I saw one rumor that up to 8 players may be sold to fund the transfer. JM may have a clear out but 8 players that generate that sort of money who are all surplus? I have my doubts.

More 8 players who don't have a future. I doubt we need to generate the funds with our cash reserves and new TV deal, and Pogba isn't single handle dragging us from 5th (unless I've travelled back to Moyes era) to 1st, but a proven goal scorer in all Europes top leagues, one of the most creative players of last season and a quick young defender who's basically not Daley Blind should help

Is Blind really that bad? Seems to get a lot of hate and I'm not entirely sure why. Never really thought he was much good myself, but seems to be one of those fairly standard utility players.

I don't think he's a bad player at all, and I quite like the idea of him being a defensive midfielder. He's got the right attributes for the role. But a short arse playmaker in the centre of defence works well with Barca, not a Utd time prone to shooting itself in the foot

No he's definitely not terrible, one of our better performers last season. His defending is average and his distribution is excellent. But the squad definitely needed another CB and it makes a lot of sense to buy somebody better and relegate Blind to first reserve. He's not a Mourinho-type CB at all. He'll want someone who can withstand pressure better and rightly so because we gave away so, so many leads last season.

The little I saw of Blind at Ajax a few years ago and at the WC in Brazil, he was phenomenal as a left-back. I don't know if that's his natural position or not, but it's where I've been most impressed with him.

I'm not a huge fan, but even if I was, the quoted figure plus Giroud in exchange for him seems crazy to me.

I didn't rate him much at RM but his performances at Napoli have fairly conclusively proved me wrong. Might be too late to go for him though.

He's never particularly impressed me in big games I've seen Napoli play, Hamsik and Insigne in particular have been their big players.

Who cares his goal record is insane. I'd love him.

I doubt we even have the money to pull it off if Arsene wanted to though.
