Meh, constantly sacking managers hasn't done Watford any harm at all. It can work.

I think there's a feeling of unfairness at someone being sacked immediately after starting a new job, but given the payoffs involved it's silly of us to feel that way. The managers don't always do a huge amount, the club is set up to encourage as much continuity as possible from one manager to the next, so the fewer ideas of their own they have the better. In a sense they're just being paid millions to take the fall when the team has a bad run of games.

Sacking managers constantly has done my team nothing but harm, though. It can be a disaster.

Not really my point, anyway. There are cases where the amount of time he had is clearly enough, and there are cases where they aren't. Really depends what the club is trying to achieve, how much overhaul there has been, and whether they want somebody to implement ideas or pick up where the last guy left off.

No denying this is a crisis now. Feel like I've been reading the same "English football not in decline, it's just a temporary blip" article every CL week for three years.

Yeah I was ready to forgive last week but Arsenal have been pretty awful in the CL for a few seasons now. They've improved in the Premier League but got worse in Europe, which I think says a lot.

We had 26 shots on Saturday but only 4 in the first half here. Had 12 in the second half but you kind of expect at least that given we played all bar a minute of it behind needing a win.

There has been a tendency of players to sign for teams apart from the big 4. I wonder if there are just 3 english teams, if it will mean the concentration of power is in the top 3 teams more than the others even more. This season has seen lot of money spent by the teams apart from the top 4 and I am liking how well distributed the English league is becoming. More depth. Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool and all declined. City have been far from consistent in the CL and this year's Chelsea performances have left many shocked..
