*Official* English Football Season 2015-16

City after Patrick Roberts from Fulham apparently. Anyone seen him play? Everything I've read online sound really positive, and seen a few clips of him and he looks absolutely rapid with great touch, really uses his pace well. He's also incredibly highly rated on the new FM game, which is becoming a better judge of potential as the years go on. They don't tend to miss the mark by much anymore.

What do we count as 'genuinely good' in international football? Sweden are no pushovers for example but it's probably not what we're looking for (beat them in Euro 2012).
I might've trotted this one out before, but, outside of England, England has only once beaten a World or European winner in the knock out stages of a World Cup or European Nations finals ever.

Spotter's point to whoever names the occasion.

Denmark (Euro 92 winners) in 02 WC

Step dad made a decent point on Facebook before, a few of his mates are Carlisle fans, so an away game to Plymouth is a 900 mile round trip, a true day out. This year its a Tuesday night, meaning either miss the game or 2 days off work. Bit **** of the schedulers that, its like they don't actually think about the extra cost fans pay to view the game.

Aye. But apparently the clubs wanted it on a Tuesday, as **** all would travel down there anyway so best to have a decent fixture on a Saturday where the losses are minimised

Which makes sense but is still ****ty.

Erm, I don't get it. What kind of negotiating tactic is "we'll offer this, but if you don't accept it we'll offer more"?

And the same for the player:

While City haven’t begun formal talks with Sterling over his wage demands, believed to be in the region of £150,000 per week, Begiristain is adamant that the club will take a hard line.
“We won’t be paying exorbitant wages,” he insisted. “Unless Raheem really, really wants them. Then I guess we could I suppose, but just this once.”
