Interesting. If the wife wants to leave that badly then you're done. I was just meaning the whole Di Maria signing was a mistake because it was a gamble that didn't pay off. He has a team that can posses with the right players fit but no X factor to unlock tight defenses.
Yeah, get where you're coming from, that sort of money is always going to be held against the manager if it doesnt work. However people will use it as a weapon against van Gaal as if he'd taken a world class player and had made him awful overnight - OK Di Maria wasn't a fan of van Gaals style anyway, but the huge drop off isn't solely down to the management. It's not really like you have to make a rod to beat him with, after all..

I think it was a good deal tbh. It went incredibly badly, largely for reasons beyond anyone's control, and we still recouped most of the fee we paid. That was the absolute worst case scenario. It doesn't even look like much of a gamble at this point.

Yeah, beyond predictable. Oh well.
Yeah I'm not even fussed at all. Had a hilarious time reading an Arsenal forum during lunch. The meltdown during the match thread was fun and seeing them all turn on each other after the match (re Wenger Out's vs AKB's) was even funnier.

edit: That said, we're only 3 points behind Leicester and I still have hope we can go on a run and take this.

Yeah, we've basically had this exact same conversation more or less every year for the last 8 years haha.

But yes, I, like you, am still feeling somewhat optimistic. It was just frustrating as this would have been a great occasion on which to turn the screw, and was doubly annoying to once again fall foul of the most hateful team in the country and, in particular, their rat bastard of a forward.

Dammit, just how far have we fallen??

Arsenal are done. Have been rubbish for moths. Best they can hope for is that Aguero gets injured and they can manage to win the thing with less points than they got in 13/14.

Not exactly the stuff dreams are made of.

Seriously, why does it matter how many points you get compared to other seasons? Winning the title is the stuff dreams are made of. If you do it with 75 points who cares. You're three points off top.

I'd be more worried if we were playing fantastically and 3 points clear.
