Pretty sure that it's a no-no for a club to attempt to persuade a player to use an agent of the club's liking or provide inducements for the player to drop their agent.
However, I cant see anything wrong with them simply saying "we are not talking to him."
If Sterling wants to keep him on the payroll, that's his decision

Absolutely nothing to do with football. I've just discovered that an old friend who I lost touch with several years ago died in 2012 and is buried in a cemetery in Shrewsbury. I'm hoping to somehow get a photo of the headstone. Admittedly a cricket forum is a bit of a long shot but it appears to be a place that few people with computers seem to live.
