Yeah, I mean to put things into perspective it's more than the likes of Iniesta, Neuer, Ramos, James, Özil, Alexis, Mata, Reus, twice as much as Courtois and Müller, and around the same level as Di Maria, Ribery, Robben etc
...is this accurate?

Tbf thats not exactly accurate :p

150k pounds would be like the top wage in Serie A.In euros, its probably around 5.5-6m NET which is what Higuain earns at Napoli(And De Rossi at Roma).I'd imagine the likes of Iniesta and Di Maria earning way more than that with Robben,Ribery,Ramos earning slightly higher than that.

Anywhoo, Andros keeps on doing it for England, people questioning him even being in the squad, but in the end he seems a different player in an England shirt.
Yes it's ridiculous people are saying he shouldn't be near the squad when he's regularly been the most influential player on the pitch. Numpties would presumably much rather have a guy who contributes sweet FA but tears it up at club level.

BBC's player ratings beyond comical again.

I think it more or less is, however it excludes context.

-Some of those contracts are older (if they were renegotiating them now at the age they were then they'd be higher because of TV revenue);
-a player's position matters (GKs don't get paid that much, I think Neuer gets 105k); and
-when you're in a team with multiple 100k+ players it's going to be more evenly spread amongst the star players (for finances sake if not FFP itself).

But Liverpool currently has only 2-3 players making 100k+, and two of them are leaving (Johnson 100k, Gerrard 140k, Sturridge 150k). You also have to factor in that he is a young talented English player. He'll become a brand and not only that he helps the English teams with their quota. I imagine Chelsea, City and United would be all over him.

True. The new homegrown rule is working hugely in his favor so he has the leverage while negotiating the contract in that sense.Pool are in a precarious situation right now considering they might not be making CL next yr.Lets hope they reach a compromise in the end.

150k is still a lot for this guy tho :p

Fans giving a **** about wages is something I'll never understand

Unless you're in danger of doing a Leeds/Pompey etc then who gives a ****

I don't know what a single Tranmere player earns and wouldn't pretend to. I do know we had a wage budget of £14k per week at the start of the season though. So without wishing to be a hypocrite, I suppose I would be bothered if we offered a player £150k a week.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest any club who would pay Sterling such an amount may have greater budgetary freedom

It was like they opened the big box of cliches and didn't even bother to shake them up.

And seriously **** off with the 'Hart had no chance for the goal'. He shouldn't have been so far over to his near post. Ideally he wants to be in a position where he can cover it with a quick dive on the (lower) chance the ball goes that way, but ready himself to dive/move accross goal when the header flashes across or is missed by Pelle.

Standing square on near post basically means his ability to dive right is not needed (unless he wants to prevent a goal kick), and his ability to dive left is not strong enough to cover the goal.

Perhaps they're making a link between the players' wages and the amount that fans are expected to cough up for tickets.

Alaba out for the season. International friendlies eh. Barca are going to win the treble this year aren't they?

I give a ****. My team was almost destroyed through inept off field management.
