He wants to go though
Yep, first-team football I guess. In the end he's a perfect type for City if he just wanted to be back-up, the type that could do a Fletcher/O'shea job for United when they were good.

Yet if he wants a regular starting place.....

Fits with Liverpool's strategy of taking punts with not much to lose on players that might or might not be useful.

Yeah I don't really get it. Will surely not be in Liverpool's full strength XI, which means he'll just be squad rotation. You know, like he is at City...

Think Rogers will play one up-front next year. I always felt he wanted too, but with two quality strikers he had to play them. Could see Milner slotting in in a 5. Lets face it he's not bought Remy to start,

Nah, don't see it.

-----Gerrard--Henderson----
-Sterling-Coutinho-Lallana--
-----------Sturridge-------------

I haven't bothered to even see where the new bloke plays so can't fit him in. There's Cam as well.

Maybe he'll play right-back, would save 'pool a lot of points.

Well, he kind of is. Though it's not as if it matters one iota with Real. It's just a case of buying the hottest flavour of the month, even though it makes little sense given the cost and the squad already.

Arsenal should try and buy Modric.

I don't even think he is. You surely wouldn't object if Arsenal signed him for that much.

Arsenal don't have Ronaldo, Bale, Di Maria, Kroos and Isco fighting for 3 positions already though, and I'd still have severe reservations (we'd be blowing the whole budget in an area we're strong). I think it's the unpracticality of it and that his price is so vastly inflated by a good WC that annoys me, and that Real just feel they have to have all of the world's superstars.

Real should be looking at getting a new DM; unless they're planning to play Modric there, which I think is workable in some cases, but it requires someone who plays alongside him who's a real ball winner and Kroos/Rodriguez aren't that person.

Actually wonder if they should just play Ronaldo up front.

He's hardly overpriced when he cost Monaco anywhere between €45m-€65m (depending on what you read regarding Moutinho's move).
