Classic deflection innit, he got it hopelessly wrong, so he's trying to shift the blame. His job must be under pressure, lucky for him there's plenty of ****e sides around.
Yeah, I guess this is basically it.

It's unusual for a manager to get things so horribly and obviously wrong and to be so belligerent in his refusal to accept the blame though. I mean, there probably isn't a team in the world that'd turn down the chance to play against oppo who would necessarily leave huge gaps in their midfield and defence, but it's just begging for trouble if you try and deliberately pull that sort thing against Arsenal.

Tbf, I don't think pressing Arsenal is the worst tactic, even at the Emirates. Arsenal are pretty good at breaking down deep blocks deployed by average sides these days. Though maybe Villa are better at doing it than most are, I don't know.

Their execution however, was ****ing dreadful.

Generally speaking perhaps not, but when you're as crap as Villa are I'd say it's pretty suicidal.

It's just so, so difficult to play that way away to a superior side when your players aren't used to it. Also Villa got a great win there last season with their usual deep block and counter.

This transfer deadline day **** has got out of hand. Two big transfers (Quadrado and Schürrle) and people are moaning about how boring it is. If you're bored it's your fault for getting really excited about Monday because Sky told you to.

Sky didn't even have the grace to give us Sawyer.

Can't believe my lot spent a 6 figure sum on a striker. Hopefully he will shoot us to the title.

Well, TBH, it's not just Sky is it?

Yet you are right though, I'm not disappointed as I always expect it to be a damp squib, wasn't really following it much.

We got our second 20 year old of the window. Blackburn fans don't seem happy about this one which is always a good sign.

Young Bolton centre back has gone to United to get first team opportunities. I thinks this is better than Falcao.

I said it on Twitter but when I watched them play Oxford he looked like a reasonable player. But by 'reasonable player' I mean 'as a young-ish left back in League 2'.
That he's gone to United is just madness. Hilarious though.
