*Official* English Football Season 2013-14

Should probably have started tbh. Wilshere might be fine playing in a more advanced role against various Prem opposition, but I don't think he's quick/athletic enough to play in that role against a side with the pace and ability of Dortmund's midfield.
Probably didn't quite have the sharpness to start. And that's a great counter.

Can hardly blame Arsenal for going for the win, but they just seemed a bit too desperate to force the issue for mine. There was no real need to pile as many bodies forward as they did, given the context of the match.

Btw just got my first sighting of Bendtner in a while. What the **** is that on his head?

Clayton! What a man.

This group sure is going to be tight now, shame that one of the three has to go out really.

That's a lethal winner from Dortmund. Lewandowski started the move in his own half too.

Really cracks open the group now too because Napoli have already beaten Dortmund and look set to beat Marseille away too.

Yeah, this is actually a pretty bad result for Arsenal. A point would have had them in a relatively healthy looking position. The away games against Dortmund and Napoli are huge now. One suspects that they will have to win one of those or avoid defeat in both (as well as beat Marseille at home) if they are to progress.

We've got 9 points this season. Take away Ryan Lowe's goals and we'd have 1 (a 0-0 draw). ****ing aiiiii

Yeah, Dortmund is a real fortress as well, so it'll be really tough to get the points there. Needed to at least draw the home tie really.

If I was a gooner I'd be proper bitter about him being on the pitch to score that goal
Nah a red would've been too harsh. 5 replays later and I still can't tell if it was deliberate, the ref has to give him the benefit of the doubt.

It's still a yellow for dangerous play though. Not sure where the "red or nothing" thing came from, pretty sure Tyldesley just made that rule up on the spot.

Nah I think it's red or nothing. There's no-one who doesn't raise their arms in that situation. Personally I'd lead to not deliberate anyway.

Nah he's right.
