*Official* English Football Season 2013-14

Quite.

& German club football doesn't have anything like the depth of English. They have three national divisions, of which the third was only made nationwide in 2008. That's 56 teams.

We have 5 national divisions incorporating 116 (92 in the league and 24 in the Conference).

You have probably not seen anything of him but Liverpool fans got any opinions on Carlos Teixeira? We just got him on loan until January.

Seen him a little in the Academy/Under 21's. I don't remember him scoring many, but definitely provided his fair share of assists, very good on the ball. :)

Yeah he's really highly rated. Admittedly don't watch much U21s but he's definitely one of the brightest prospects. Signed him from Sporting after he ripped our NextGen team apart.

Wouldn't particularly trust him any deeper than a #10 role though, but I don't know what formation you guys generally go with.

I saw him play in some of those youth teams, and while he looks good on the ball, IMO he didn't look like he had enough end product. Seems to be rated pretty highly though.

Yeah our sporting director helped set up the NextGen series so we have been aware of him for a while.

We play 4-3-3/4-5-1 depending on if you are one of our fans that thinks we are too negative or not, sometimes play 4-4-2 though. We have tons of central midfielders and just lost a guy that that plays on the left of the front 3 to a broken leg. General thought was that he would play there, or I was hoping we might go 4-2-3-1 and play him in the middle.

It would be interesting to compare how many English/German professional players there are. I suspect that would be a lot closer.

Germany also does a damn fine job of producing talent for other nations, I reckon you could get a pretty decent team of German born/raised players who represent other countries.

In a statement the FA said: "Use of the term 'Yid' is likely to be considered offensive by the reasonable observer"
I hate **** like that. Who or what is a 'reasonable observer'? Who decides what constitutes reasonable here?

It's bad enough when you get crap like this in the law, but when the remit of 'reasonable' is dictated by the men in suits at the FA... Just no.

Urgh, Man Utd are turgid. No imagination going forward whatsoever.

Edit: Is Kagawa injured? Because if Moyes can't find a place for him on the bench against a team (most likely) doomed to relegation, there's no hope for the lad.

Arsenal better not get any injuries today. A bench of Frimpong, Akpom, Miyaichi and Gnabry doesn't seem all that inspiring.

Never mind though - Ozil <3

Haha, takes Ozil 11 minutes to get an assist. Why no Santi though?
Rumour mill says he picked up a late illness/injury.

Ozil WAG though. That was excellent. <3

Can't wait to get Cazorla and Ozil in the same team though. Will be amazing. Having those two and Wilshere and Arteta all in there together will probably make Arsenal the best passing side in the league.
