The injury rules need changed IMO, if a club decides that a player isn't fit enough for international duty then that's that.
Absolutely. But the consequence should be that the FA then decides that the player is unfit for the club's next EPL or FA Cup match. In an ideal world.

Oh, and you're dead right about the pre-qualifiers.

Actually didn't know they played Montenegro next.
Fair enough.

But that's why one or two of us are getting a bit agitated about Ferdindand's withdrawal, as the Montenegro is probably our single most important qualifier for eons, and the presence of Smalling in that particular match frightens me something chronic.

Nah, that's rubbish. If a player has a niggling injury and his club want him to rest for a week then the FA should have absolutely no say in the decision.

Luton Town, in front of a crowd of five and a half thousand, draw 0-0 with Tamworth, pretty much guaranteeing them conference football again next season, gotta laugh.

Super Sunday victory for the mighty whites. Automatic promotion still possible. Huge game next Friday...

Yet again our midfield doesn't show up for the second half. And yet again we don't look remotely like holding onto a lead. The sheer laziness of our midfield beggars belief.

Ashley Young's inability to retain possession still astonishes, despite plenty of previous on that front. For those who looked beyond the scoreline against San Marino, he he wasn't much better then apart from one admittedly decent strike. Tonight he's simply a massive liability.
