I wish hey. As Smitten said, 3am start, recording it and will watch before work.Watching the game tonight?
1am here so I don't think I'll be able to. I'd be happy if Liverpool get away with a draw and estatic if they win.
Thank you. A bit strange that we get every game, but then again we don't have the opportunity of attending live.Saturday 3pm kickoffs aren't televised live, pretty much everything else is (apart from Sunday 3pm kickoffs when one of the sides has been playing Europa League on the Thursday.)
In the UK it's illegal to broadcast games that start between 2:45 and 5:15 on a Saturday (I think.)I wish hey. As Smitten said, 3am start, recording it and will watch before work.
Would take a point in a heartbeat.

Not sure what the aim of posting something like this is, but I do hope it wasn't aimed at me.Man you're sad. Classic Arsenal supporter.
If you care to read my posts after said games, do so, and you'll find I was very angry at our tactics/performance in those matches.
I have no idea why you're mentioning the CL. You deserve to be in it, and we certainly don't after last season.
However, after a 1-1 draw against a side doing worse than both sides we drew against, you highlight the peformance of a meh job at right back.
As you were.
EDIT: Why are all (most) Arsenal supporters like this? Reminds me why I can't stand them.
I actually really like watching practically every team in the Premiership, and some in the Championship. And maybe because I don't live in England, I don't have this bile directed at rival sides, or just general hatred of anyone not supporting my club.
There are so many posts in here such as "We're in the Champions League! Lol", "Stoke are ****", "QPR suck", "Fulham aren't a club", etc etc etc, and as someone looking at England from another country, it's a sad, sad view. Feels like the rest of the world appreciates your competition more than you.
EDIT (2): Apologies and thanks to the people who contribute well to this thread.
Tell that to my local, Nova Sports. In the UK it's illegal to broadcast games that start between 2:45 and 5:15 on a Saturday (I think.)
It's an odd post isn't it, reasonably sure, Pothas and I, aren't Arse supporters. Not sure what the aim of posting something like this is, but I do hope it wasn't aimed at me.
Good point. Still illegal for a UK broadcaster to do so.I'm not really sure what the legal position on it is at the moment, recent European Court of Justice ruling means that the law is likely to be changed in the near future.
It's an odd post because unless I'm reading it wrong, Nath is trying to argue Stoke aren't ****. Which is just wrong. It's an odd post isn't it, reasonably sure, Pothas and I, aren't Arse supporters.
Personally I hate the likes of QPR and Stoke, because I weatch that style of football all the time in the lower division, if I'm watching a Prem match, I want to see style and artistry, not hoofball.
Yeah because there is no bile in this post.Man you're sad. Classic Arsenal supporter.

Yeah, because I was positively enthralled about our performance last night? In case you weren't aware, I wasn't.Man you're sad. Classic Arsenal supporter.

I'm all for some good banter and rivalry too. The point is everytime I check this thread, there are some "Team X is playing, ****" comments, for practically every club. I don't understand how some people can just hate on every single side other than their own.Yeah because there is no bile in this post.
Make no apologies for the fact that football is about tribalism, is part of what makes it so enjoyable. Yes there are a few moronic idiots that take this to ridiculous levels but for the majority it just adds to the whole thing. Football is a big pantomime, rivalries just add to the whole charade.
That does not mean I can't appreciate good football as a neutral. I would not watch both La Liga and the Premiership if didn’t.
No I was not aware, as you did not comment on it. Can't read minds.Yeah, because I was positively enthralled about our performance last night? In case you weren't aware, I wasn't.
I made the comment I did because I thought Djourou was in face one of our best performers last night in a pretty average display. I thought your criticism of him prior to the game was unjust and, to steal a phrase from you, wasn't "classy". Bring on the lulz Like when you play Johnson or Carragher at right back I'm assuming?
Obviously I'm not happy with the result last night I just don't think you're in much of a position to point the finger and laugh when you look at Liverpool's performances across the last few seasons.
Your edit is complete bull**** and not relevant to anything. I don't dislike you because you don't support Arsenal. Hell I'm the only person I've met at Uni that does so if I took that stance I'd be pretty ****ed.
How on earth is saying "QPR suck" a sad, sad view?
I think it's much sadder that you're prepared to generalise about (most) Arsenal fans over the limited experiences you've had with them, largely over an internet forum I'm guessin. St00pid.
Can't say I've ever found that to be the case.I'm all for some good banter and rivalry too. The point is everytime I check this thread, there are some "Team X is playing, ****" comments, for practically every club. I don't understand how some people can just hate on every single side other than their own.
Fair play, thinking Djourou is an average defender is a perfectly valid viewpoint. Questioning how Djourou will do would be a reasonable post, saying you expect him to be shown up this evening. Fine IMO. However, your post was 'classless' IMO and that's what I took exception to.No I was not aware, as you did not comment on it. Can't read minds.
I think Djourou is a very average defender, and as your squad was just announced, I commented on it.
Yet it is you who keeps bringing up Liverpool insults, apparently as a form of some infant retaliation.
Carragher and, in regards to his defensive duties, Johnson, are terrible right backs. But why bring it up? Feel free to if they do a terrible job today, haha, but atm it's pretty out of context and pathetic.
So you're saying I can't judge your club because mine hasn't gone well lately? What a laugh. Sucks if you're a Blackburn fan then.
Well that's a dumb assumption to make, and it's incorrect. Every Arsenal fan I know seems to have this pompous attitude towards footall, and while some of them aren't terrible blokes, their elitist and defensive views on Arsenal are childish and tiring.
Arsenal are my least favourite team in the Premier League, and it's solely because of their fans.
EDIT: Isn't there a separate thread for Arsenal talk on CW? Sort of sums up my feelings.
In the last two pages, there's been vitriol towards Blackburn, Fulham, Stoke and QPR to name a few, despite the posters who made those comments having no rivalry with them as far as I'm aware. The hating on teams for the sake of it is commonplace and OTT, in my opinion. Can't say I've ever found that to be the case.

I bring up the Liverpool insults as I think it's a bit rich, it'd be like me mocking another side's goalkeeper if we still had Almunia playing. People in glass houses...
Of course you can judge other teams, at the end of the day you're free to do what ever the **** you want. I just find it funny when you laugh at or mock an Arsenal result considering how, comparatively, the two teams have fared elsewhere in the last few seasons. (i.e Norwich, Champions League qualification etc). There's a big difference between commenting on a performance and mocking a result IMO.
Obviously everyone is entitled to say Arsenal didn't play well last night, or that they should've really got 3 points out of the game but that's so different from going "Ha. You couldn't even beat Fulham at home lolol".
I wasn't querying whether all the Arsenal fans you've met are like that, I was questioning how many you've met to make such a generalisation valid.
And yeah, there is a separate thread for Arsenal because last season there were numerous complaints about the amount of Arsenal-related posting in the general thread. Comments to the effect of "This is a football thread, not an Arsenal thread" and so on and so forth.
Blackburn - **** club. Those of us who don't like Chelsea for ruining football with money and who have long memories will remeber Blackburn started it.In the last two pages, there's been vitriol towards Blackburn, Fulham, Stoke and QPR to name a few, despite the posters who made those comments having no rivalry with them as far as I'm aware. I'm happy for people to call a spade, a spade, and I don't think you should be held back because of your club's position or because a player in a particular position isn't all that. I assume that's where we differ.
That's not hating on every team that isn't their own though is it? Perhaps it is for some, for others they hate Team B, another bloke hates Team C etc etc. So collectively all of them are hated on but I, for one, do not 'hate' every team in the league other than Arsenal. In the last two pages, there's been vitriol towards Blackburn, Fulham, Stoke and QPR to name a few, despite the posters who made those comments having no rivalry with them as far as I'm aware. Again, that's my viewpoint as a Australian reading this thread, and the same opinion is shared by a mate or two. That's not hating on every team that isn't their own though is it?
