Ashley Young is in some ways a typical English player - he's a trier, likes a shot, isn't brilliant technically. For these things a typical English fan will see him as a good player. In reality he's nothing special and he's one of the most ball-greedy players I've seen at the top level. The fans will ooh and aah as he takes on someone, flashes a 30 yarder just wide and so on. The manager will get annoyed as yet another attack breaks down because he's gone for another poor percentage option. He's like the polar opposite to the CDMs who try to walk the ball in. He wants to create a goal with one pass or shot.
Definitely something to that but the hope is that he adapts to playing in a better team and doesn't try to do it all himself all the time. In that respect the early signs are pretty good.

Also his set piece delivery is insane and that's something we needed pretty badly.

I was in full go Madrid mode after the whole Barca-Cesc thing but then seeing the footage of Mourinho taking a sly little stamp on Cesc's head after Marcelo's tackle just ****ed me right off them. Man is a disgrace, know so many Arsenal and United fans wanking off over him and how much they love him.

Pure blooded ****, terrible loser who's being effortlessly shamed by Pep. It reallyy must burn him up that he won't topple them in the near future. Back to England with his tail between legs for this guy.

Rio due back possibly next weekend now, but Vidic out for an extra month. Think I preferred it the other way around. :(

So pumped for tonight. Has to be our best chance to come away from the Emirates with a win. Charlie Adam for MOTM or a red card, haha.

Convinced Liverpool will win, actually. Tipped them to do so in fact (CW's own Prem tippiing comp remains open to all, btw, all the cool kids are doing it).

Starting to feel like the end of an era for The Arsenal; the squad looks as bare as I've seen it, we could be playing Primpong, Jenkinson and Ox-C today who have a combined age of about 12 and roughly half a Prem game between them. When the central heating's ****ed you don't send for the boilermarker's apprentice, do you?

Nasri starts for Arsenal Suarez on the bench for Liverpool interesting.

Think Arsenal might start with a bang myself it is just a matter if they can convert their pressure into goals

I arrived in London today, which was rough as the tube was busy as hell with the Arsenal vs. Liverpool game only an hour or so away from starting when I took the tube from Victoria Station to my accommodation.

I had my massive back pack and an Arsenal fan, already fairly intoxicated, made fun of my backpack.

I said to him I hope Arsenal lose today.

Good result
