I don't know how the FA operate, I was speculating - but if someone is being charged, having any kind of record at all is probably taken into account. That's what I was saying.

Besides, it's naive to think Ferguson wasn't putting any pressure on the referee with that comment. Didn't make any difference in the end but there you go.
He is the best referee in the country and the FA recognise it too. He is their representative to FIFA AND UEFA.

Did the WC final and also the CL final last year. How does stating the obvious put pressure on him, when both managers agree?

Also here is Ancelotti's full rant before the match -

You don't get an advantage to speak against the referee. The decision is already taken," Ancelotti said.

"Also for the image of football you have a social responsibility. For the young kids who look at you as an idol, the image on and off the pitch is important.

"Sometimes when things are not good you can speak about things that go against you.

"But I don't want to put pressure on the referee. Howard Webb is a fantastic referee, he has the skills to handle the occasion.

"If the referee has no experience maybe you can be a little worried about this but with Webb there is no problem.

"I have trust in the referees in England. They make mistakes but this is normal, you have to accept that or you have to say there is a conspiracy and I don't believe that.

And still no charge?

There are some serious double standards going on wrt Ferguson and FA charges. If that is a charge, and tbf it does seem to contravene the rules, then about 15 different managers should have been charged under that this season. And why has it taken a week for them to charge him?

The rule is ****ing stupid anyway. How the **** can you get charged for praising the referee?

I did not really comment in that post just posted articles and comments from scottish citizens and newspapers, and I have a bigger clue than what you would think with my current location.
And my view is shared by the majority i have spoken too about it personally, and it is a view prevalent on the web too.

In any case I have said what i feel ,and don't really want to debate this here further.:)

To deny that sectarianism is not part of football culture in scotland with the hooligans is pretty naive to me.
Yes it may not be the only reason,it is the major reason for such douchebag's.
What's happening with Lennon goes beyond football.

Reason #23521 why Noel Gallagher is a God amongst men

From The S**

IT has been a while since NOEL GALLAGHER served up one of his razor-sharp verbal volleys.

But GARY NEVILLE is just the kind of comedy character to spark the full force of a Scud missile from the former OASIS hero.

Earlier this week Gary took the liberty of quoting Noel's classic track Fade Away on Twitter after Manchester United all but wrapped up the Premier League title.

He wrote: "'While we're living, the dreams we have as children fade away.' Not if you support United!"

Like little Gary playing the offside trap, it has gone pear-shaped.

Here is Manchester City fanatic Mr N Gallagher's response:
"I feel violated. If Mr Neville continues to use the holy scriptures of Oasis to communicate with the ****ney massive, I shall be forced to come up to Cheshire in the middle of the night, break into his house, tie him to a chair, make him listen to the Best Of Simply d(Red)ful while I pull his tash out one grey hair at a time (with my teeth), liberate those Oasis CDs and s*** in his manbag. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..."

Delivered like a NIGEL DE JONG tackle - with two feet just above the ankle.

So there you go Gary-boy, that's another stinger to add to the classic insult from yesteryear from your old City adversary.

The veteran Reds defender and former England misery-guts - who retired this season - once sent Noel a guitar to sign as a little birthday treat to himself.

It came back with the affectionate marker pen message: "Happy Birthday knobhead. MCFC x."

The beauty of Twitter is the fact Mr Neville has the chance to reply to Noel.

He's won every trophy possible at club level, but he'll get no silverware in this slagging match.

Thoughts for the final? I find myself in the rare position of pulling for the favourites in a game where The Arse aren't involved. Logic would suggest it's Citeh's to lose, but losing a cup final where they're warm favs would be such a City thing to do.

Hope I'm wrong, but think it'll stink the place out as a spectacle.

Even if Man U did somehow manage to lose, you'd have to be very brave to bet against them getting a point at home to Blackpool.

What are the current odds on Chelsea for the title?

Hammers effectively relegated here.

If Brum get a point tomorrow it'll be confirmed.

Not sure how to feel. Lot of time for them, but not so that pair of ****s they have in charge. No fan of Grant either, but that's more because he's not very good rather than a ****.

Faintly farcical at Ewood now. Safe to say both teams are settled with a point apiece.

Geoff Shreeves: Ryan, how does it feel to win the league with what, let's be hoenst, is by no means the best Man United team of all time?

Ryan Giggs
: Yeah, you're right. We just won the league and we're in the Champion's League final; we're rubbish.

:laugh::laugh:

Ah Blackpool, so epic. Really hoping Man U will turn off the gas next weekend, or that Hollaway and Ferguson can reach a gentleman's agreement...

Hammers though, eh. :(
