Haha nah, you're probably justified in thinking so due to seasons past, but he's been a banker this season. 31 games, no reds and just the six yellows. That and he's scored two of his three career goals.

Big fan. :)
You'll be pleased to know then he was the first player I turfed out when I took-over 'pool in 2014/15 in my current FM11 game

Haha, raaaaaaaaage. He's the ugliest chav hack you will ever see, but man I've been thankful for him this season.

Bit of a stretch to cite Carragher as out of position at RB IMO given the amount of time he played it as his primary position.

That being said, you would have to worry about his pace there these days, especially against a team like Smitteh.

I love the mad bastard. Favourite Mad Jens moment is a toss up between his booking vs Wigan for timewasting in 2006/07, and randomly battering Robbie Keane in the last minute at White Hart Lane in 2003/04.
Yeah, I love the guy as well. That Robbie Keane moment (though at the time was massively dire) was pretty hilarious in hindsight, it looked as if he was trying to break his neck. WAG.

True, but it's still out of position in the sense that never anywhere near as good a right-back as he was a centre-back. He's such a limited full-back. I remember he played there for England against Sweden in the 2006 World Cup and Sweden successfully adopted a tactic of marking every England player except Carragher and letting him repeatedly thump the ball aimlessly down the pitch.

He was certainly never an international full-back but was more than serviceable for a long time in the Prem playing that role.

Started his career as a midfielder, which just seems crazy now.

Am obvs aware he's played there before, but he just has no pace and doesn't offer much at all going forward.

Andy Carroll is really funny to watch.

No doubt he's had an incredibly effective season this year, but he looks like he's accidentally wandered onto the park at times. Just seems to randomly amble about.

Can't see tonights match ending well for Liverpool. Half a defence, and if Citeh play a similar team to that which started against Sunderland I can't see it ending well.

Will be intruiged to see what Chelseas plans are for up front come the start of next season given the form Sturridge has been showing at Bolton. Would have to think that at least one of Anelka or Drogba are on their way out come the end of the season.
Indeed, terrible result :)

Carroll would be much more likable though if he didn't carry around a dead animal on his head imo

Maybe, maybe, he could have been going for the ball in that tackle. But kicking the owl is just stupid. :(

Do you think Chelsea will score?

Only reason I ask is the Betfair football write-up guy recommended betting on United to beat Chelsea in the last game, and also recommended to get on United to qualify.

This game he's recommended a United clean sheet and 0-0 at half-time. He reckons 1.71 for under 2.5 was about right (i.e. no value but not over the odds either) but since that has edged out a bit I was thinking it may be decent.
