*Official* English Football Season 2009-2010

BARNES OUT
Was played deep next to de Jong by Hughes then on the left/right wing by Mancini. Was creative last season because he could basically run free going forward without having to hold shape in midfield (as both Kompany and de Jong played deep in the middle of the park).

Started the season okay next to Barry but as soon as de Jong recovered from injury he fizzled out. He's not a deep-lying playmaker but Hughes tried to make him one.

He's also had some muscle injuries.

Fair to say he's something of an eccentric too, so needs his head to be right.

Ah well, quite like zola as a bloke, but ta-ra. This really has been one of the worst Prem performances I've seen for a long time, making Wolves look like Barcelona, FFS.

Re: Taylor/Carroll. Rumours are it was his John Terry impression that caused the bust up. Probably not the wisest person to screw over (or should i say, wisest persons ex...), considering Carroll's up on charges for getting into a few scraps in the Bigg Market (have to be unhinged or dregging at the bottom of society to drink in there anyway). bit worrying when Joey Barton is now one of your better behaved players......

Have mild soft spot for yer Irons (The Academy, 1966, Sir Trevor and all that), but God they look gash just now. Reckon a combo of Messers Dowie & Laws and Pompey's general buggeredness will keep them up, but what a sorry crock of shyte. Owners ****s, obv.

Thought they looked pretty decent against Le Arse TBH, certainly not bad enough to go down. Diamanti, Kovac, Behrami and Cole all pretty good players IMO. Would love to have Diamianti at United TBH.

Our second 3-3 draw in the space of two weeks, totally out of character with the rest of our season. 2-0 up and then 3-2 up tonight means a draw is frustrating but a point away at a side in the play-offs is still a pretty good result. 7 points clear of relegation with two games in hand, things should be just fine.

But it is such a wonderfull place to be.

You still got a good chance of getting out of it, although not sure where that Southend win came from.

Yeah. It's all very odd, just when you think a team is on the slide, they get a big result or two. We're playing a bit better though, so I'm a bit more confident now, but we need to do what Southend did tonight on Saturday. TBH, mid-table clubs are the ones you want at this stage of the season.

C'mon you Reds........

If Zola isn't out of a job by this time tomorrow, something is seriously wrong.

Simply has to go now, enough is enough.

Are you gonna be at PP grecian? Has the potential to be huge.
I doubt it GIMH, but it will be massive as will our trip to Chalky's mob.

I've been very poor at getting to away matches this year, considering the attractive trips. IF we stay up I'm gonna try to be a bit more active in that regard.

Norwood's on Fire
I've not been to many this season, mainly for £££ reasons, but tbh a lot of my mates haven't been going either because of the knock-on effect the Barnes era had. It means there aren't as many minibuses or cars etc going.

TBH the silver lining to us going down would be the amount of local away games, this division is somewhat southern-based.
