Citeh next week, isn't it? Rotation IMHO. Although Carrick was that arse he might well have been dropped too.

Fat Sam's always going to lie down to have his belly tickled by Sir Alex, anyway.
Reckon Carrick's been dropped, not sure about Rafael - Evra on the bench, definitely being rested.

I hope so. If we can't rely on that, what is football coming to?

Well that's that then. A Carling Cup and 3rd place to be the final result of our season's efforts - and to be fair we don't deserve any more than that. Yet another ****ing toothless performance today, and props to Blackburn for a good defensive performance.

Happily not.

I think that should be it for ManUre. They looked today like what they are; well-organised and commited, but (without Rooney) lacking that certain something. Berbatov today gave the kinda of display that must infuriate supporters. When the force is with him he looks languid and classy with time on the ball that belies his lack of pace, but days like today he looks a lazy, uninterested soft ****.

Yep, we're just lacking that real class to unlock teams or take them apart. Berbatov has it when it suits him but his abject refusal to play as a centre-forward - even when he's the only ****ing striker left on the pitch - and his inability to produce the finish when we really need it is what will always be counted against him. I've had enough - he can join Carrick on the way out this summer.

Yep the fact that they lost the second best player in the world in the summer is finally starting to really tell.

And besides, it always seems to me that Barca is the lesser of the two evils. Maybe if I were an Espanyol fan then it might be different. I have been to Barcelona and I saw no Espanyol fans about, or anything to do with the club, they may as well not have existed.
Not sure where you went, but i found the Espanyol training ground by accident and only found the Nou Camp by going out and looking for it.

I'd argue that maybe the loss of Tevez was equally important if not moreso - getting rid of the ponce means Rooney's been allowed to play where he's best and he gives 100% in every game (unlike the ponce) - losing Tevez as well meant there wasn't any quality back-up up front, which for the team which showed us how you need 4 good strikers to compete on all fronts, having 2 plus a renowned crock and a bunch of over-rated kids was a bit of a turnaround.

****, that's not good.

At this point I'll admit it: I'll take anything, whatsoever but I'd rather we stayed up on our own merits. That sucks mate.
I expect they'll just lose the 3 points for the win over Brighton. Hideous news for you boys, but one more side between us and the drop.

Thought it was a fair tackle myself but absolutely no sympathy for the Spurts.

Palacious out of the Arsenal and Chelsea games. Happy for him to miss it against us but wouldn't have minded him being available for the latter tie.

Aye, pretty good day for Chelsea today.

Wasn't a penalty, unless he's just clipped his back foot before swinging round and kicking the ball, looked that way from the refs angle, would like to see it again. If so, good shout ref.

Almost as good for Arsenal - they're now favourites for second and one of their few tough games in the run-in just got easier with Tottenham's extra-time exertions (plus the psychological damage inflicted by ****ing it up in classic Spurs style).

Agree with a lot of this and think Tevez (if he'd wanted to continue in a supporting role, which he didn't) would have been very valuable this season. Though I have some faith in the kids - they've still got a long way to come and not all of them will make the grade, but they've got plenty of ability and age is on their side.
