Was some seriously crap defending by Everton for the Drogba goal, basically all just stood their and watched him head it in. " 'ere ya go mate, goal's on me "

Why do the commentators go on about knocking the ball out of play when someone like Drogba is limping around. Sorry but why should anyone but Chelsea knock it out of play? Get on with the game - it's not like he's on his arse in the Chelsea penalty area playing everyone on onside.

All gone a bit soporific, this is why football shouldn't be played in t'summer. Roll on the pens......

Norwood's on Fire
Southern bias is often talked about and I often agree with the accusation. However ITV's coverage today has been nothing short of disgraceful. You would think Everton were 5-0 up, it's been a total David Moyes jizzfest from the commentators, feel sick with all this blue****e loving. They have done bloody well over the last few years, and indeed this season to get this far. and it's 1-1 and they might win the cup. But please, call the game, and congratulate them at the end (if they win), Chelsea are a decent side you know?

it's about 2 or 3 weeks later than normal isn't it? If they'd had it at the normal time I'm pretty sure it was snowing

No-one got close to Cashley, either. Schoolboy stuff.

Nice to see a sunny final tho; always used to be a guarantee of good weather when I was a nipper, but we've had some decidedly moderate weather for the last few.

Hitler was a great orator too, but that's largely forgotten as well.

International Coach
Just watched the 1968 European Cup Final on ESPN - had only ever seen the goals before - the game was certainly more "physical" in those days - but in many ways more honest

.............. and John Aston - how come he never made it? absolutely brilliant

Had a great start to his Utd career, but started to tail off at the same time as some of our elder legends did. However Aston got the bulk of the stick for the performances. Rather than blame the fact that Charlton was too old and Best too drunk, Aston was accused of being in the side based on favourtism (his dad, alson John Aston, was a very fine player for utd during the 40's and 50's Busby team). Left for Luton before the team completely combusted.

Shows that short term fickle memories arnt just a trait of the modern fan.
