Stoke winning at The Albion & Notlob beating Boro means it's a long way back for the losers. Both gone now IMHO.

Chavs start Sir Alan's reign in the appropriate manner too. Sunderland might be the only north-eastern representatives in next season's Prem at this rate.

Sounds like a Unitedesque victory for Liverpool today. Can't remember them ever being top this late in a Premiership season.

That being said, can't see United failing again against Villa

Yeah, Villa look shot of late.

ManUre win will pretty much guarantee us fourth tho, so silver lining there anyway.

How good is James Beattie. Single-handedly keeping Stoke in the Prem.

Buy of the season so far.
Shoud count himself unlucky not be apart of the England squad last week.

Where are the good English strikers?

Michael Owen in pomp would have put the frightens on John Terry, a man who turns slower than the QE2 but he looked all but gone yesterday. Maybe he should move to Citeh and be closer to his horses.

Liverpool should have been 3 zip up by half-time. A Unitedesque victory is literally stealing the points.

Terrible first half at St James' Park. Ivanovic is no right-back, he makes Coloccini look quick and he can't pass the ball. Give the game 10 more minutes and then I'll stick the rugby on.
Coloccini was shocking IMO. No wonder he only lasted five minutes at AC Milan.

Sunderland seem to be in free-fall at the moment, remind me of Reading last year. Think Newcastle will just escape at Sunderland's expense, although Hull have two very important games coming up.

Yeah actually, good call. Only English striker outside Rooney who's scoring consistently.

Suppose he doesn't fit into Capello's formation, though he's a pretty big and strong bloke so I'd back him to play a target.

How about Kevin Davies? He's a top striker scoring very consistently!

Yeah not a bad shout actually. Don't see much of Bolton (entirely out of choice as well, thank you very much.) though so can't comment too much further.

Odd to say in a game where he opened the scoring, but is Ronaldo a liability at the moment?
