Was great early last season, not sure why Sven ****ed him around so much. Conned him into signing a new contract, really. Soon as he penned it he had him off on loan in the lower tiers not to play again in the prem.

Surely board room pressure, most of his team-mates can't even understand him.
Anyway, no wonder Elano's making comments about warming the bench. Hughes has more faith in Vassell than him? That's enough to make any man worried. Would be the worst move in the world from Hughes to unsettle Elano enough to push him out of the club, it'd piss Robinho off just as much as the fans.

God damn Darius ****ing Vassell. What the **** do managers see in him that everyone else can't? He doesn't even work hard, and he's so **** in front of goal it's unbelieveable. I can't believe that airswing from the top of the box, a blind man would've got some foot on it.

Yes it was quite an open game. City are too open for me though, can't understand why Hamann is continually left out, especially away from home. I'd much prefer SWP back out wide, Vassell out of the side, and Hamann alongside Kompany making it a little more difficult to get at our defence.
The defence has come in for much criticism this season, and while Dunne has not always helped himself with some schoolboy errors, it does not help the defence that when teams win the ball they are getting straight at our back 4.
You can still be an attacking side, and still field players like SWP, Robinho, Ireland, Benjani/Jo, and bring Elano on should he be needed.
