Was supposed to turn into a huge gun. Was part of the same batch as Nicky Weaver and he did alright, not great though.

Chris Lwelumo's miss, **** me.

2 yards out middle of the goal, an open goal, he sends it wide.

/facepalm

Ugh why has the donkey known as Steven Gerrard walked back into the side?

First of all he's ****, and he's **** again today
Secondly the crap he said earlier
Finally the timing of the operation

Shocking defending from Gerrard not once but twice.

Firstly he leaves a right winger run into oceans of space. Then he just ballwatches in the 6 yard box when the resultant cross comes in.

Absolute garbage.

Gerrard-esque defending by Kazakhstan, 1-0 to England.

You'd think that'd relax them etc. but no...

Wake up England ffs.

Not complaining tstl.

Our Rutland-dwelling Romanian-Scot might not be too happy. (France probably providing him with enough amusement however.)

Also, Senegal are out of the World Cup. Details to come in World Cup thread by Monday.

Piss-poor from England today, no idea whatsoever how we won 5-1.

Gerrard and Lampard were totally anonymous, Barry had his worst 45 minutes in ages in an England shirt, and most of the defence were asleep for large portions of the game. We missed Terry, Ferdinand is not vocal enough as a leader. He should have been giving his team-mates a rocket up the arse all through that game, instead of losing concentration himself and allowing his cohorts to do the same.

Rooney, as is often the case, was the only one who looked like he wanted to make anything happen for England, while Heskey was the only one pulling his defensive weight.

The media will moan about the England fans booing Ashley Cole, but if he wants to not get booed, he should try not being an insufferable ****. Might help.

Norwood's on Fire
Results win tournaments, not performances, 5-1 will do I guess. What a shower for the match that mattered today, three home defeats on the trot for the whites tonight, pathetic.

Amusingly enough Collymore on Talksport was ranting at Barry being taking off. Practically wanted Capellos head for it. You've got to hand it to Talksport, you'd of thought after Terry Christian it would of been hard to find someone as ignorant and boorishly biased, yet they've managed it. Well done everyone.

Yeah, we were hugely flattered, and I'm still pissed off he's persevering with Gerrard-Lampard. Yet we won easily, and Defoe does look a better option in the squad then Owen, so he's not completely in thrall to big-names. I'm probably in the minority of one that thinks Beckham's a decent sub, too. can't last a full game now, but can show enough energy in short bursts to get a number of dangerous crosses in.
