So frustrating... our biggest game in almost 13 years and that happens... sickening. Fancy our chances at Goodison though, even minus the Yak and the other Africans.

Berbatov's been immense so far, tbf. If Malbranque had brought his shooting boots (& his heading head ) yer Spurts could've had two or three.

Look a much better team with King & without Robinson.

See Fulham looking at Juve's Jean-Alain Boumsong, only they would be desperate enough for him. Robbie Savage joins Derby and Mohammad Sissoko looks a certain to move to Juventus it seems.

Harry Redknapp linked to the job as well. I don't know why, there for some reason they seem to think Newcastle should be pushing for CL qualification or something. Must be in the air.
It seems that the boards expectations way exceed what their current squad is capable of, to sack allardyce at this stage is incredibly short sighted, and tbh I wouldnt put money on redknapp making a success of it if he gets the job, the club seems to be cursed.

If he goes to Newcastle I will cry. Any fool can see Pompey have the brighter future. We have a billionaire investor, plans for a new ground underway, a great squad pushing for European qualification, and the best fans in the Premiership. What do Newcastle have? Great fans and a huge ground, but players who can't be arsed to do any running and actually give the fans what they want? A history of sacking managers who don't deliver instant success? Joey Barton?

FFS. 8-)

I don't think he has been. I think it's been forgotten since he kept us up miraculously the other year, but not forgiven. There was never a time at which the Pompey fans went straight from skepticism or outright hatred (no-one chanted his name for about 6 months after his return) to the same love we had for him when he was first with us. It's just been forgotten about over time. At the end of the day he's done far more good for the club than bad - perhaps more good than any manager in our history - so we can't complain about having him back.

That said, him leaving us for Southampton was still the worst feeling I've experienced as a football fan. ****ing traitor.

Newcastle was just another pay package for Big Sam. He'll move into a club that actually want him and they'll do well, and Newcastle will look silly because of it.

Redknapp should stay with Pompy, for his reputation's sake. Newcastle will probably end up with some ex-England manager or something. Poor bastards. Having said that, they all slated Sven when he finished up with England and look at him now.

haha southampton now are terrible, always failing when they should do much better, I was actually a member there for a few years :p (sorry barn), but that was mainly so I could get tickets to go and see them play Arsenal etc...
