Not really saying it does, and I do rate Cole above Downing, but he was really beyond bad on Friday. Kept making himself look a bit of an idiot by attempting tricks and flicks he just doesn't posess. Don't think I've ever seen Downing play that badly.
Tricks and flicks that he does posess, i've seen he do them before, he can be forgiven though, just didn't come off on the night.

Good move for Newcastle. Let's hope the lad sorts himself out and matures as nobody has questioned his footballing ability which is second to Newcastle. A midfield of Duff-Parker-Barton-Milner is pretty good imo.

Agree with Tom here. Friendlies can do one as far as I'm concerned. Players don't care, fans don't care. Moreover, how is Brazil good preperation for Estonia?!? No disrespect to them, but it's rather akin to studying brain surgery as preparation for cutting your toenails.

If Parker will still be there...
Don't really know why the magpies would want to sell Parker though?. If its what the rumors said he didn't feel comfortable then well so be it, but otherwise he is their captain & had a very good season. So i would thinking getting Barton to partner him would enhance the mid-field even more.

If you not happy somewhere, then there is no point keeping a player there. He'll go. Meanwhile Newcastle's Antoine Sibierski has joined Wigan on a free and former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri is the new boss at Juventus.

I'm tipping Ranieri for the chop by the end of the year.

Nah, I'm expecting him to stay on. Probably won't win but he can guide them to probably 3rd unless he makes some big signings in which case he could challenge for the title.

Same reason as Reo-Coker really.
Scott Parker wants to return to London, Reo-Coker has fallen out with the manager, the club, the fans and wants a big time move for he thinks his something special. Not really the same reasoning.

Oh well that's what I got from it except with Reo-Coker not being wanted more.

Wigan have also recruited Titus Bramble.

Like the look of the under 21 side, even without Richards, Agbonlahor & Walcott they look like they can go all the way.

One question though lets say Richards & Lennon were fit obviously they would have been in the national side over the past week, but could they have still been picked for the U-21 C'Ship?

I can't see why not and personally I would have sent Wayne Rooney to Holland. For it's not like the other sides are not cherry picking from the senior side, Belgium’s squad has a staggering 10 players who are apart of tomorrow nights Euro 2008 qualify against Finland, whilst both Portugal and Holland have players of international or indeed World Cup experience in their squads.

But it would be some achievement if we do win it, the group stage looks hard enough and the loss of Gabriel Agbonlahor was disgraceful.

Have not seen or heard much about the Czech’s other than their side is currently plagued with injuries but the Italians are very talented (especially Aquilani, Pazzini and Rosina) and Serbia’s squad features a few players who were playing for the senior side on the weekend, notably Boško Janković whose been gunning it for Mallorca this year.

Should be a cracking tournament nevertheless and hopefully Derbyshire and Bentley have good tournaments.

See Villa has tabled a £7m bid for Re-Coker.

Chivu to Inter? Yes please.

Chief Poseur to Anfield, you heard it here first

Possibly Bellammy / Cisse in the opposite direction

Medical, apparently, currently underway at Melwood
