Sorry dog or ‘dawg’ but just like your faith in the supreme Indian batting line up, Owen will bring nothing more than disappointment at £20 Million.
It doesn't matter to the majority of the Manure fans on here. The "Mr Hankey" effect means that no matter how poor he played, they'd talk him up.

Loony BoB

International Captain
Brown has already declared he's staying with Manchester United. Silvestre, not so sure. It's really hard to pinpoint anyone they'd sell outside of Smith, and Smith seems to have every intention of staying at Old Trafford despite any possible hopes of Fergie.

Tom Halsey

International Coach
If we sign Owen I'd be majorly disappointed - we've already got Larsson.

We need a central midfielder and cover at the back.

I think Hargreaves will go ok, personally. He's certainly more of a holding midefielder than Carrick who, frankly, isn't a holding midfielder's arse.

Overpriced at £20m by at least £12m tho. If he were a German international of similar age & repute he'd fetch between a quarter & a half of what he will as an English international. I can't in good conscience call someone who was born in Canada, has a Welsh mum & has played all his football in Germany English per se.

Ironically tho, I actually do think ManUre are in far more need of a goalscorer (like Michael Owen) than a midfielder. It's a paradox I can't fathom that they're the Prem's leading goalscorers without an outstanding goalscorer. Larsson will bag a few, I'm sure, but he's only by necessity a short-term option.

Decent result for us, a replays a bit of an arse but to get a draw away at a top half championship club when we were missing 3 of our best players can't be bad.

Also Scunnys game got called off which means we'll got top when we beat them next week

Bit of a soft second there really.

The chants of "are you Tottenham in Disguise", must be particularly melodic for Arse fans.

So a lot of people around me today were heard muttering words such as, "well, the Oldham fans were right after all" and such like. Ronnie is a Tranmere legend, and I will give him time, but let's be honest, we've slipped from third to seventh in weeks, and the only difficult game we had was Forest, which can't have been as difficult as we thoguht, given their form.

A month ago I'd have put money on us for automatic if I was a betting man; I'll happily take the play-offs at this point. We were dire today; got out of jail, thanks to a dodgy penalty that was put in on the rebound, but I'll take it as there were some shocking calls against us. 1-1 at home to Northampton? John King would be rolling in his grave, but he's alive, so I guess he'll just be pissed off like the rest of us. Pick up the phone John, you were Ronnie's mentor, tell him what you'd do at this point.

Well missed keeper.

Now listen to all the utter bs from the commentators after chief poseur managed to dribble a few yards and hit a rubbish shot.
