Just wondering since Robbie Keane and Mido are preferred at Tottenham ATM and Jermain Defoe is on the bench does anybody believe it will hinder his WC chances or has he done enough to go to the WC?

He'll go because of the paucity of other options. Bent seems next in the pecking order & he looked a bit out of his depth v U-r-gay. I suppose Vassell is the other option & he does have pace & a habit of scoring crucial goals for England. Unfortunately he also has the first touch of a nervous virgin!

I thought Bent did OK.

He didnt do that much wrong...

Defoe's omission to the bench is evidence of Pardew's controversial statement to Wenger yesterday.

Nice own goal, always nice to see Bolton losing - unless they're playing the CDMs.

Should be the keeper's own goal tho - wouldn't have gone in without hitting him.

They have very few WORLD CLASS players though IMO, especially up front. Why arent they trying to sign Adriano or someone of similar pedigree and prowess in front of goal.

Henry would be an obvious candidate but I doubt he would go.

They have wasted more money than other clubs spend!

i dunno i would think Robben is pretty close to being WORLD CLASS even though i dont like Chelsea he has really impressed me more & more since i 1st saw him in Euro 2004. Crespo & Drogoba are pretty good & Gujohnsen seems. It not frightenig but it seems a decent combination of strikers..
