Well, Rory Hamilton-Brown is now the front runner for the 'counter-attacking innings under pressure' award!

Nice to see Steve Davis getting some runs as he seems to have fallen down the wicket-keeper batsmen pecking order..

Massive collapse by Hampshire. You would have got long odds that theirs and the Kent score would be identical a couple of hours ago.

Gloucestershire batting well again i see. That Bristol pitch seems lively this season.

Unfortunate that Sanga can't come now but looks like he will be replaced by a combination of Katich and Chanders which isn't too bad.

450 up for Surrey, ought at least to be able to avoid another defeat with a score like that.

Incidentally I'd be interested to know if anyone has been to four-day games this year and what the public have to pay for admission. Kent have hiked the charge up to £20 this year (was £12 or £14 last season I think). The club are deep in debt but do they really think that's going to get them flooding back through the turnstiles? I'd just made a 90-minute train journey so I wasn't going to turn round and go home but it would make me think twice about going again.

KCCC's explanation is that the Twenty20 matches, for which members had to pay last year, are now included in membership - that's no help to someone like me who only goes 4 or 5 times a season. And in any case not everybody wants to watch Twenty20. At Surrey I pay for a lot of 20-over cricket that I have no intention of watching; I would much prefer to have a Championship-only membership if such an option were offered.

Think Lancs is still £15 for CC games, used to be £10 with an extra £5 if you wanted to go in the pavilion then they decided they didnt want to hire the security guards to check people going in to the pavilion so they just charged everyone £15. To me thats not bad for a days play but I can see why people would be put off.

Surrey got the big wicket of Jaques and worryingly for Worcestershire they don't have much left.

Yep, just Kervezee and the two Bens, Smith and Scott really. Surrey have no wins from their last 17 home games so it's well within their grasp to blow this, in any case I'm going tomorrow so I don't want Worcs to cave in too much today. Two wickets down in the follow-on would do. :)

Oh and Lancs have slipped into the lead at Chelmsford.

Good to see Horts in the runs, although Chilton's start to the season is a bit worrying. Croft has made a very solid start to the year, rescued us twice against Warks and helping us recover a tad here.

Yea pretty peculiar innings. 43-6 then you've a partnership of 73 and counting go at better than 8 an over...

Good to see Moeen Ali get a ton, even if against that particular 'attack', not sure if he will ever make it but he has got a lot of talent, played a great innings against us last year.
