Epic few overs in cardiff. Bull 2-0-35-2. Made his debut last week. Didn't look a bad spinner judging by the ecb highlights of the game.

Good, competitive pitch at Brizzie by the looks of it.

Trott + Hain in the runs again, Hain had a superb debut season.

Sam Hain another hundred, averaging 53 now. Not bad for a kid barely 19, I am very excited about him - especially having Trott (who he compares very well to) around to mentor him.

Yeah I saw him at Scarborough last month and he was a good deal faster than I imagined.

Good to see Surrey playing youngsters like Solanki rather than bringing KP in.

Yes, I was going to mention Solanki playing after the Youngster excuse, but quite frankly I'm so bored of KP kerfuffle I couldn't be arsed.

Wouldn't put it past Trott and Hain to break Warwickshire's all time partnership record of 470 here. Need 125 or so more at present.

Roderick and A Gidman were 3 away from breaking gloucestershire's all time record the other day. Alex joins Will in leaving Glos - he's going to worcester. A good servant to glos but never really delivered on his potential. A bit like Hildreth at somerset but worse. Both captained the lions at different points but both were always liable to give it away by driving to cover or missing a straight ball or finding some other way to get out whilst looking good for the most part.

Worcestershire are making this climb to Division 2 a lot harder than it should be! Looks more and more likely that a result against Essex will be needed now.

Solanki still called a youngster? Remember him making the fastest English ODI century or something way back sometime in the mid noughties.

Sam Hain is a bit special. Has already improved his scoring areas to add to his mental strength and an understanding of his game beyond his years. When you watch him bat it seems like he will struggle technically but he just knows the balls he can score off and those he can't. Really excited about him long term as an England player.

Great entertainment at Bristol

1100/14 so far, they should be punished the same as a pitch where loads of wickets go down on one day.
