Faced 2 balls an over while Chapple was out there. While Hogg was out there he faced 1, and then since Ali got out there he's faced pretty much 1 ball an over. Ali's playing well, but surely Jos should be controlling the strike? Doesn't really matter at all, as they're still winning this game, but just think the bloke on 96* who wants a place in the Test squad should be taking the responsibility and leading his team home, instead of letting the bowlers do it.

I think if he had scored more runs recently he would be more assertive but also can't really say too much without seeing what the fields etc are like. Chapple and Hogg are both decent batsmen so I can understand taking a single if on offer with them, but with Kabir he should probably be declining singles.

Not sure about winning the game, there's a fair way to go yet - but yes you never want tailenders keeping a set batsman off strike. Although I'm not sure Kabir would be number 10 at every county.

All over. Durham win. Pretty strange loss really, with a guy 100* at the other end. Jos really should have waited to claim his hundred, and either waited for a ball he could get 2 off, or take it last ball of the over. Comes across like pretty selfish batting TBH.

Another 4 overs of proper Jos Buttler batting, and Lancs would have won. Can't believe he'd take a single 2nd ball and leave Kerrigan on strike.

Great win, with players starting to come back (Troughton back for this game, Trott scoring runs in the 2s) maybe we have an outside shot. Still think we are a batsman or two light though when it comes down to it.

Surprise comeback for Trott tonight in the televised game vs Northants. Perhaps T20 isn't his forte, but it'll be interesting to see how he goes. Are the Steelbacks going to sledge him? "Oh look, here's the nutcase."

So Trott not playing in the 4-day match, but played in the T20, can't help but think that's ass-about-face.

Not the greatest of starts for Somerset, particularly with the slightly inexperienced bowling line-up we have.

I listened to the radio stream for the first hour and we were 3 down early, went for a run then went out and lo and behold a triple century partnership. Still it's only Northants.
