Whenever you get asked that silly three wishes question, andyou’ve weeded out the impossible and those that wouldn’t be good for forumatmosphere, I’m always left with Tres walking out to open the batting forEngland on the first morning of the Lord’s Test

Oh my. Just saw the Fletcher Patel runout from the first day of the Notts Warwickshire game. The definition of village cricket. Two fat blokes with no idea what they're doing running at half pace and randomely deciding to take two and then one of them deciding to stop running.

Taylor now 4/4 on lbws this season.

Every time I think about the England batting lineup it still has a horrible Pietersen shaped hole in it. Can't get over the craziness.

The hulk has gone home on maternity leave and without him the Glamorgan attack does look toothless. Him and Allenby carry Glamorgan a massive amount.
:-O

Been putting on a bit of weight lately has he? Eating for two?

Gloucs cleaned up by Masters and Napes this morning, Monty not needed. I imagine this will be Cook's last county outing for a while.

Fivefor Gregory, Wells may carry his bat.

Would be nice if we had a spinner, to rotate the Seamers, after making them f/o, but I don't know who you'd drop ATM.

Oh and I don't think his selection for England is in the Ballance anymore *sorry*

77, 174 and 130 in his last 3 FC matches is pretty bloody impressive. Should be nailed on for a spot in the First Test against Sri Lanka now. Handy 63 for Root too, so looking like it's going to be Cook, Robson, Bell, Root, Ballance, Stokes, that sound about right?

Wells carried his bat yes, and never got to take his pads off.

Jimmy nipping an early one out as Northants set off in pursuit of 240. Could be a tight one if the weather holds.

Really should have ignored the tube strike and the forecast and gone today instead of sitting at home and listening to Danny Morrison.

Cracking win away at Notts. Chris Wright is a gem on his day. A real form bowler, and normally goes for a few, but a real weapon in the CC.

Jeetan Patel proving his value again as well this season. 104 runs at 26 and 9 wickets also at 26 + a really good slip fielder. Such a solid contributor.

Root trying to make Cook feel better by letting Middlesex chase down 480. Then again Middlesex batting ends after these two.

Indeed, but if its any consolation I think you can rely on spending the entire season above Lancs and Northants at the very least

226-1 ... Middx nearly halfway there. Going to get closer than Northants anyway, by the look of it.
