Its not just this season.Good start by Harmison against Surrey as his impressive season (although the value of such in selection is debated, I know) continues. 8-4-7-1 before lunch.
Shame about his second ball zero thenImportant game for Matt Prior no doubt.
Shame about his second ball zero then
I remember him starting the 2007 CC season very well and hoping it might translate into some decent form in the tests against WI. Didn't happen though. Its not just this season.
In the last 18 months in FC domestic cricket in England and South Africa he has been in by far the best form of his career taking over 100 wickets at around 22.
Ha, how did you quote that i deleted it.Shame about his second ball zero then
Indeed, but I've given up arguing that Harmison is in the process of earning a recall. Its not just this season.

Go for Kabir Ali instead. 86 wickets @ 23.5 in those past 18 months.Indeed, but I've given up arguing that Harmison is in the process of earning a recall.
I have not seen Ali bowl for a while so he could have picked up a yard in pace as Manee suggests.Go for Kabir Ali instead. 86 wickets @ 23.5 in those past 18 months.
(seriously, would like someone to explain the difference between Kabir and Sidebottom)
I must have been too quick for you.Ha, how did you quote that i deleted it.
Bit harsh on Harmy - he's reputed to be up to speed this season.God forbid a spinner be used for attacking purposes.
Fair nuff. Not suggesting that he'd be selected over SB btw, but rather that the cases are rather similar: a player was selected for 1-2 Tests with rubbish results, sent back to county, and then did well in county for a prolonged period without getting much recognition - and the bowler who's been selected on that has been England's best over the past 12 months. Compare Anderson & Broad who are selected mainly on "tools" and/or youth rather than performance and haven't got that good results on the board.I have not seen Ali bowl for a while so he could have picked up a yard in pace as Manee suggests.
However, assuming he hasn't, then Sidebottom maybe half a yard quicker, 4 inches taller, and a left arm bowler that offers a different challenge to the right arm medium quicks at the other end.
Indeed, timed at 93mph in the FP Trophy, IIRC.Bit harsh on Harmy - he's reputed to be up to speed this season.
Yeah I agree with that. Its hard to argue that he couldnt do a decent job if called up based on the experienced and skilled professional model.Fair nuff. Yea againts Kent, that exact Denley was smashed past point by Denly.Indeed, timed at 93mph in the FP Trophy, IIRC.
Ye, was a rank half volley. Harmison does continue good bowling form though as he is now on 13-5-19-2.Yea againts Kent, that exact Denley was smashed past point by Denly.
Would love to hear the varied conversation if David Lloyd and Manee met.Indeed, timed at 93mph in the FP Trophy, IIRC.
Silence Pup!Would love to hear the varied conversation if David Lloyd and Manee met.
