***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Worcester now all out, and Chris Adams has enforced the follow on, unsurprisingly. Sussex the favourites, weather permitting.
And Worcestershire swiftly lose their first wicket. Worcestershire = the Derby County of top level cricket?

Edit: Incidentally, the sun has come out and it's a nice afternoon here in Sussex. Can't see weather playing a part today, and as far as I know, the forecast is decent enough for tomorrow as well.

And they're not exactly hanging around in their 2nd innings - five gone now. This could be all over tonight.

yeah, looks like Sussex are going to take the title (probably wrapping the win up tonight).

Lancashire aren't going to get the win they need (476 runs behind with 5 Surrey wickets still to take).

Congratulations to Mark Ramprakash, for passing 2000 runs this season (for I think the second season in a row)

Ramprakash has been an absolute phenomon. A model of consistency. I watched him bat today, and some of his shots were technically perfect, and it is not just his technique that sets him apart at this level, but his hunger to score so many runs, which I can only imagine needs immense powers of concentration.

A fantastic conversion rate this season, something like ten 100's and four 50's. What an effort.

Pretty gutless of Kent to not put up any real effort to defend 50-odd.

Bye-bye title hopes, we'll be back next year.

Makes me so angry to think what might have been with Ramps and Hick in the English team if they had played to their full potential :@

Nice work from Essex in their game against Middlesex, any reason Cook and ten Doeschate weren't playing? Not to mention regulars like Bichel and Kaneria.

Lancs 178 for 2 at lunch, with Laxman & Law at the crease. Obviously this is the crucial partnership, but if anyone has some previous when it comes to miracles, then VVS is your man. If these two are still there at tea, then who knows ...
