Yeah, played cricket for two years at the club that I play at.

He was in Melbourne at that stage, he played two years in Perth beforehand. Did really well the first year, and decently the second time around. He then left and played for Essendon last year, did alright then too.
Be interesting to see whether Glos let him come back this year having signed a contract with them, and being an important part of their side, which he never really was for Hants.

Pommie. When he had a ripping year for us, he floated the fact to a few Victorian people that he could play as a local if they were interested in giving him a rookie (was only 21 at the time) but didn't get a bite. Mum's Australian, ftr.He the lad who was born in France? & not la belle Francais's Yorkshire dominion?
What does he regard himself as? Crim, pom, other?
Meanwhile two very, very strong looking sides in the Somerset/Essex QF. Shah back for the Eagles a big bonus.

It was. Tres absolutely drilled it; think he'd picked Topley's slower one.

Like that. Sumptuous from the boy. Back foot lofted off-drive for four. Napier's ball was 90mph and a good length; Jos made it look like a rank half-tracker.

Top stuff. Standing up to a 6' 8" guy sending 'em down at 85mph is as hard an examination of a keeper's chops as you're gonna get.

The world perhaps, often thought we would have been just as well as to keep him as 'keeper in limited overs stuff, must save so many runs, and gets you wickets, and he can thump the ball too.
