Idk why they did frequently even in recent Windies test series. Visitors didn't make a fuss out of it though. I am sure Aussies would have.
Punter was the first to call it out and Khawaja.
Stokes tried such tactics in India during the first test but Umpires didn't budge there. Then he stopped asking for it.
Surely, we'll have something come out of this. Maybe a standardized set of ball that are as beaten up as the one that is requested to be changed...obviously has to pass through the ring test though...

This whole game England have felt like they could drift towards a surprise defeat and they’re now under some pressure here.

They don’t need to do anything mad, they have all the time in the world so rotating the strike is enough, credit to Sri Lanka for doggedly getting themselves a decent lead.
