Early days and, with all due respect to WI/SL, tougher challenges await. But a couple of his innings have come with us under the pump and ended with us in a dominant position in the match.

Smith's batting has not really been a surprise, it's not like he hasn't produced some classy knocks in the CC. What has surprised me has been the quality of his keeping, just the one tough stumping missed so far but everything else has looked pretty straightforward for him. Hopefully, he can be as good as Prior.
