Also, Neil Saker & Richard Clinton have left Surrey.
Saker hasn't left them, though I know CricInfo have listed him as having done so (you really should stop just posting a copy every time that list is updated, it's almost certain I'll have done so first as I posted the link before you copy-and-pasted everything in it), he didn't actually play at all last season.

Richard Clinton has also barely played the last 2 (may even be 3) seasons and I'm not even sure he was an official part of their staff either.

Hmm, whispers that Watkinson is going to become ''director of cricket' (hate those roles) and that Chris Adams is in line as coach.

Rumour has it mark cosgrove will play with glamorgan on a british passport this year, could be well a case he is turning his back on australian cricket,

How on Earth is he eligible for one of those? Never heard of any form of British ancestry on his part.

Yes he deserves to be remembered for more than that 268 against Glamorgan but barring a momentous last year or two I don't suppose he will be

Id rather him be remembered for that innings than the unfair clown comparison.

Ill never understand how possibly the most destructive English batsman of his generation with multiple 200+ List A innings only played 16 ODIs.

A few failures and people couldnt wait to get rid of him. He was never given a fair chance IMO. A victim of snobbery IMO.

207 players have played ODIs for England and interestingly Brown has the 8th best games per 100 ratio. In fact, for players debuting after 1980 he has the 3rd best after Trescothick and KP.

Rumour has it that Ali Brown is off to Trent Bridge for his swansong
Good a player as Brown is, any signing of a 38-year-old has to be a huge risk. Hope Brown (and Notts) doesn't regret it.

And if they don't, you can bet your life Surrey will regret giving him the chance to do it.

For those that have not seen Ali Brown here are highlights of when Surrey scored 496 in a 50 over game in 2007.

Brown is #5 and he kills it and makes the destructive Benning look pedestrian.

Scorecard
Have seen that game a good few times, and have also seen the famous Glamorgan game from 2002 once or twice. However, one I've never managed to get my hands on is the previous Brown 200 game - I forget both the year and opposition.

Here is a copy of the scorecard of the 268 game but I have no idea if theres any highlights of the innings on the net.

Still can't quite comprehend the magnitude of Kasprowicz's achievement in going for just 53 off 10 in a total of 438 off 50.

Sad that we can't provide any members of the U19 squad these days, well you can't really expect much when you have a policy against youth like Watkinson had.
