*Official* England Tour of West Indies 2019

Borges

International Regular
Well played West Indies. That was as comprehensive as it can possibly get: out-batted, out-bowled and out-fielded England.

maybe top 10 all time worst performances by an England side. So hilariously outclassed by windies.

Don't normally bother watching the interviews after the game but on this occasion I think i will. Can't wait to here what Root has to say about his team selection. and the pundits rip in to everything about the performance.

WI rarely put together good all round performances, but here we were good with bat, ball and in the field; Hetmeyer and Campbell in particular took a couple great catches.

A WI team with the talent to play like this really shouldn't be putting in the kind of half-arsed performances we saw from them in Asia over the winter. Hope we see more consistency from them.

Well, England have some credit in the bank from the last couple of series.. for now. If they lose this series, serious questions will be asked.

Right away it will go on Pybus.

For next match, I'm itching to play the same team.

Darren Bravo is so out of form though. He looks woeful.

Or drop one of the pacers to accommodate Warrican.

I'd struggle to name 10 worse performances in the time I've been watching the game. Utterly complacent and useless, they got exactly what they deserved. WI will be kicking them selves if they don't win this series by a country mile.

Well played guys!

For three innings I thought England weren't too had, we just outclassed them with attacking batting and high quality pace.

Today though England were crap, simple as that. It was far too easy.

I like Burns though, he's a keeper.

Root mentally doesn't seem to be good enough to be a top quality batsman currently. Too much risk involved in his innings for a top class bat.

Stokes bowled more in this game than Kallis ever did in a game. Can't believe there are many top 5 bats who have bowled pace and bowled 50+ overs in a match. Doesn't sit right that you have Buttler below him, Rashid at 10 barely bowling and Foakes at 8. We said it in SL but Foakes getting demoted to 8 (with Ali at 7) makes no sense with the form of Ali. Stokes not batting particularly well whatever way you look at it but having bowled 50 overs in 3 days of the game it's no surprise he isn't excelling.
Stokes bowled 50 overs. Big deal.

Once, Kallis hit a hundred and bowled 8 overs in the first innings and another 41 overs in the second innings when the opposition were made to follow on.

Keep the same squad. If Shannon is injured, bring in Oshane. If they think it will spin, bring in Warrican for Joseph.

A friend said last night how this Windies team makes you want to root for them unlike the prima donna hacks immediately before them. Can't agree more. Old-fashioned grounded and gritty.
