Nowhere near where he used to be. Didn't look bad.though. Let's see if he makes a comeback for the future tours. Can't see him being fast tracked just to bowl 2-3 overs in the whole test.

Prasad, Chameera, Lakmal, Kumara would be a mean quartet. Sad that Eranga is no more.
If by mean you mean the arithmetic kind then yeah, they're pretty average

finn had a high ceiling and at times looked like fulfilling his potential.

he is completely done though now. run up and action all over the shop and looked to be barely hitting 80mph when i saw him for middlesex this year.

Back around 2012 I thought Finn would go on to have one of those 24-25 averaging careers.

Nope.

Kumar Sangakkara says this 'They have a settled batting line-up, which they haven't changed. ' about England.

I'm confused, does he mean in the last hour? Seems to be a revolving door at times and they didn't they made enough considering they should have dropped Broad after Australia, Cook before he announced retirement and Jennings for picking up a cricket bat.

Personally I see Finn as probably the worst case of Loughboroughitis, was pretty much overcoached into the ground.

Yeah i saw sanga's piece on cricinfo. Yeah he's trolling, England is not really balanced at all and they have zero chances of beating sri lanka away.

It's so annoying listening to 'experts' and former players talking about this tour and England's chances in this series. Making out like we are favourites I don't know what they are basing that on and obviously know f all about international cricket and Lanka's last two home series against better test sides in aus and s.a

It's amazing that SL now are actually a better Test side (at least at home) than an LOI outfit. Big series for them with the cricket/board/team all falling apart at the seams.

Just seems like a cliched player to media answer where he probably gave it no thought.

Looking at the England ODI squad. So many of the players are around that 27, 28, 29 mark. Most of them have now racked up a good amount of games. Don't know what statistically the peak years in ODI cricket are but it's likely around that mark. 2019 CWC really is an excellent opportunity. Exciting that we have a decent chance for once.

Hi CWF'ermers' I'm going to be travelling around SL for 6 weeks soonish. I'm hoping to watch 3 or 4 days of each test whilst exploring the country in between. I really don't want to paying 50 quid a ticket which still seems the only option for England fans. The barmy boys are great but I'd rather watch some cricket with a beer and chat about proceedings with the locals. Will tickets be available on the day, I only arrive on the 5th Nov. Inside knowledge would be superb...

That Sanga comment was surely about the ODI side. The ODIs come first after all. It simply can't be the test line up. None stop different openers, Stokes has been in and out, Buttler out and then in, Ali up and down the order etc.

Lakmal has 24 wickets in 17 games in SL. The fact that we hardly see him bowl at home is why he seems so unremarkable. Has a decent record away. Really impressed me the last time SL were in SA.
