*Official* England in West Indies

International 12th Man
Prior looking good in that over. You know, considering his test career to date and how well he has batted for Sussex over the last three years or so, he could do a reverse Stewart and give up the gloves to play as a specialist bat in the future if we ever found a top quality gloveman.

Or maybe not.. Kiss of death there.

Nass reckons 550 the target. Isn't that what we scored at Adelaide?!

Bugger. Prior holes out, maiden scalp for Nash.

Yep. But Adelaide wasn't down to not getting enough in the first innings, it was due to crap batting and bowling on the final day.

For selecting Shah, the England selectors should win the nobel prize.
There is no nobel prize for Basic Blindingly Obvious Decisions unfortunately.

Yeah, I know I've always said Shah's no better, and it'll show in the long run. But it's the least they could do after the 51 I guess.

551-6 both there and against Sri Lanka earlier the same year, which we also failed to win. Dire hey.

Fancy Freddie to bag a few wickets tonight and tomorrow morning, watch this space folks

Wow. Some shot from Broad to bring up the 500. Picked the slower ball and smacked it straight back over Powell's head.

Is Powell really the third best seamer available to the Windies?

Surely can't be. He has pretty much nothing going for him, he is horribly inconsistent, only quick medium, no bounce to speak of, doesn't move the ball. The only thing he is, is a heavy ball and that gets you pretty much nowhere in Test cricket.

I'd suggest Corey Collymore, but he was taken away by the Kolpak monsters a while ago.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I haven't seen anything from Roach or Baker to suggest otherwise though, sadly.

The selectors only have themselves to blame, though. If they hadn't dropped Collymore and Collins for Powell to begin with, those bowlers might not have gone Kolpak.
