True but then we could be defending 165This is one of those moments when you really wish you had a proper wicketkeeper.

The balance of the team in the last two Tests really leant towards picking one too. Buttler didn't get out in either innings of this match but contributed only 38 runs anyway. Obviously you can't be changing your wicketkeeper every Test based on how many allrounders you're picking on the day, but it does stick out. This is one of those moments when you really wish you had a proper wicketkeeper.
This argument is perhaps a stronger one for picking a front-line spinner. The balance of the team in the last two Tests really leant towards picking one too. Read? Legitimate point, though, and when Michael Bates can't get a contract we aren't rectifying this any time soon, either...Apart from James Foster who's 35 there isn't a proper keeper in the Country.
It would be if there was one worth selecting. This argument is perhaps a stronger one for picking a front-line spinner.
Yeah, Anderson or bust now.WI ahead. England should be whipping and riding Jimmy until he is bowled into the ground. There really isnt the time or runs for Jordan to bowl.
Bigger picture ffs.WI ahead. England should be whipping and riding Jimmy until he is bowled into the ground. There really isnt the time or runs for Jordan to bowl.
Root's bowling is what I'd describe as "lacking penetration". Moeen is bowling crap.moeen's lacking a bit of penetration but surely england is partially to blame for having him as their prime spinner
Yeah indeed. Moeen's problem is definitely not that what he sends down isn't threatening enough; it's that he's sending down a high percentange of absolute pies. Very different issue.Root's bowling is what I'd describe as "lacking penetration". Moeen is bowling crap.
Lack of overs. Not really his fault he got injured and rushed back in.Yeah indeed. Moeen's problem is definitely not that what he sends down isn't threatening enough; it's that he's sending down a high percentange of absolute pies. Very different issue.
