Maybe it was, but India had started quick out of the blocks and anyway, that post was only there to inflame an arguement.
Close, but not quite. It was there to inflame you. I guess it worked, you just couldn't help yourself. 8D
Nothing like a bit of lively discussion, eh?

I have a suggestion.

Exchange MSN id's with each other then flame away - but take it off the forums please.

Eddie, you can't say I haven't TRIED to restore the conversation to cricket.. But every time Cricket is mentioned Rik gets up on his high horse again.

There's nothing wrong with lively banter, unless it's full on insults instead.

I could say the same about your obsession with Harmison and how he (apparently) is allways in my posts.

To be fair to Eddie, you had just put him in 2 or 3 posts which were completely unrelated to him.

That's nowhere near as silly as this is becoming, and Ged, you're equally to blame.

I think you'll find I used him either as a comparison or just to take the ****, since everyone seems to think I hate him, I just play on it. I do not, however, expect someone with Eddie's reputation and standing to sink so low and pester me about it.

I'm watching this with great interest - it's the second time in as many days that you have accused me of 'sinking so low'. I'm still trying to work the first one out. You take the p***, I go low. Hmmm.

I have never had any real axe to grind regarding, er, a certain player from Durham - sure, I wound you up about him a week ago (by commenting ONCE) because you used his name in 2 successive threads which were totally unrelated to him in any way.

I have also posted two one-liners (today) regarding you adopting and leaving the foetal position - didn't you memtion something the other day about 'never being defensive'?

If you read the DD column regularly, you will see that he (Harmison) comes in for more lampooning than even Warne or Inzy (today's example for instance) and only a little less than Rikki Clarke.

You're beginning to sound (read) more like me than I ever did with a certain person last year.

Think you have been here long enough to know that most of what LE says is in jest.

You're just 'worked up' (as much as you can over a forum.....even CW :D) about other topics and picked up on to comments I found quite light-heartedly funny. They sure as hell weren't malicious.

Well I distinctly remember more than one post, sorry if I'm wrong but this forum is the last thing on my mind most of the time. I heard all about the latter and the last thing this forum needs is ones of those, so let's all just get on for once. Leave all baggage at the door as the offspring once said. Now you may find it funny that I'm saying this, but I was called a hippy for a while when I was 16. All peace love and everything. I've got another life out there, I'm in a band I have fantastic friends my life is good for the 1st time in years, so why should I come on here and have to see people bickering about the pettiest things? And why do I get dragged down with them? It's almost like this group I was on before CW who all had egos the size of Southern America and argued about who was the most "different."

I've found on the internet you meet a load of people you never normally would, some you are glad you've met, some your not. But we shouldn't forget this is a CRICKET site, why can't be just talk about cricket. Sure if someone comes up with a really stupid comment give'em hell but if they actually have a point, let it rest! Vish's sig explains it all: Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level.

Let's just get on with talking about cricket ok, and I mean CRICKET, and "healthy banter" does not mean full on flame war/insult trashings.

Now to Marc, Eddie and anyone else, forgive and forget. Come on, what's the point?

What I don't find funny is that I keep getting treated as an idiot despite the evidence showing that Harmison is lucky even to get picked. But that doesn't matter any more, what's the point? I have 2 lives, as in Neo, I go out and play in my band, I'm known around town, I have fantastic mates, and then I come on here and post about my love of cricket. Seriously I do just want to keep it about cricket, why should someone come on here and pronounce that I'm an "idiot" for having them? Excuse me for getting fired up about certain members but seriously what makes them act like such cowards?

Sorry to correct you, but I haven't been home for 3 days so how could I? ;)

For me the next big step up for Flintoff, if batting first or comes in when chasing a large total and has the overs to do it, is to conveert his 50s into 100s.

He then will be even higher in the PwC rankings for batting.

I agree, he's certainly got the talent to hit 100, it's just a matter of time. I think he may have to disappoint a few fans along the way, but if he has to make himself a little bit more boring during a match for the cause of hitting 100 then he should do it. A less exciting Flintoff would still be great to watch.
