Well it's your word against mine, but im sure in at least 1 thread you stated that Fleming's innings wasn't that good.
Marc'd never do that.

Richard to come on and say he really made 121 because he was dropped in 5....4....3....

You may have confused it with comments I made about Lara vs SL I think.
And so you maintain that Lara isn't that good? (I'm in antagonistic mood again :))

At no point have I EVER said that, and never would I (for a start I'm a Warwickshire fan!) :P

Well, England in with a shout as Tillakaratne and Samaraweera are out for 1 each. SL at 96/5 with 2 overs remaining, playing very defensively in order not to lose another wicket before stumps.

Looking to be a very interesting fourth day, even if my predictions went down the drain (never select a man with five first names - he can be up to no good :D)

England's trouble right now is that they've got all the toilers who does the work, but no guy like Murali who can rip through the tail. Therefore, I fear that sooner or later, one guy will stand up and make a bit more than a half-century (Jayawardene looks most likely) and help to amass a target of 350 - which will be impossible unless Vaughan finds his form again.

EDIT: For some reason I thought this was the second day, so the next would be the third :duh:

I think that's highly unlikely (another 150 runs!)

SL have the upper hand, but if England get amongst them first thing tomorrow, it may be that the shift in momentum and confidence is telling.

SRL 99/5.

Flintoff lbw Muralitharan 1 (14b)

Should I presume a bad day at the office for Freddie with the bat?

He then bowled 3-1-9-0.

Its really hard to say at this point who's going to win the match but i think if srilanka can get to a score of around 150...they might win this match as the pitch is getting harder for batting. And when Murlitharan is there anything can happen.

Not at all, Craig.
He can't bat, can't bowl, can't throw.

Or am I mixing him up with someone else?

England have bowled well today although Sangakarra's wicket was pretty awful running. Despite playing on a dustbowl however it does worry me that I've hardly seen anyone turn the ball off the straight, especially Batty. He got Attapatu because he made a fatal mistake, expecting turn!!Has he never seen English spinners bowl before???

Tip to Craig:

We know that you're just waiting for Flintoff to do badly so that you can pounce, but don't force the opportunity. Patience young glasshoppah.

Well, Sri Lanka have certainly started the day well - toiled their way to 157/6 as Jayawardene makes 41*.

It's raining again.

Curse thee duck :(

Still think my prediction won't be too far off the mark...

Well batted Jayawardene, the game was close overnight, but I don't think so any more (barring a Giles hat-trick!)

From reading reports & other people who are watching this match it sounds as though 300 will be very tough to get.
If England pull it off, it will be one of, if not the best test match win of the year.

Best win of the year by default has to be the West Indies against Australia (world record).

300 shouldn't really be a problem apart from

a) Murali
b) The English batsmen bat like Murali

(apart from this game, of course, where Murali has batted like a charm. I love tail-enders who bat like tail-enders should).

This will be a tough target to reach, but certainly not impossible. One of the top 4 will have to bat through the entire innings IMO. I would think Thorpe the most likely.
