111 to be precise, all time great declaration bowling it was.
What's funny is that if you take that into account, Cook's FC bowling figures are pretty impressive. Not including that, his average is about 16 and his economy is around 2.5.

I'm assuming that tour game got FC status though.

Looks like the SL team will be declaring soon, got a healthy lead.

Bopara unlikely to bowl in the test series because of side strain. guess it strengthens bresnan and patels chances although bopara still favourite and if he remains not out in this game it will be hard to drop him.

Bresnan did open the bowling in the second innings so there must be a chance they;re considering playing him instead of Bopara.

Prior motoring along is good news for the team.

and just as i type Bopara falls for 66 to leave the spot open.

12 a side game, so no FC status.

There's no way Bopara should play if he's not going to bowl, IMO.
This, always thought Patel was the better pick anyway. Impressive from England to chase down 360 in less tan a day but man what a absolute road. Poor Belly can't seem to get a break atm.

Still Bopara for me, neither of them offer huge amounts with the ball and Bopara is the better batsman imo. Patel's figures in this game 24-2-127-1 are not enough to convince me that his bowling is so much better than Bopara's that it's worth going for the weaker batsman. Of course the weaker batsman is all about opinions and if people do think Patel's a more accomplished man with the bat then fair enough.

Migara

International Coach
Randiv and Lakmal in for the test and Mathews is out. No Chamara Silva despite his heroics in the FC season. Ideally both Silva and Chandimal should have played, because they are very good against spin. Having said that PJ is also brilliant against spin.

State Captain
Wouldn't mind Silva at Galle. He has been in good form and just did well against the England attack minus Anderson. Also considering that Chandimal hasn't kept in a while PJ might get selected ahead of him as well.

And Silvas in the squad I've heard.
Unless I'm blind and cant see it, i don't think he's in. Oh I've just read he's replaced Matthews.
Mahela Jayawardene (capt), Angelo Mathews (vice-capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Tharanga Paranavitana, Lahiru Thirimanne, Kumar Sangakkara, Thilan Samaraweera, Dinesh Chandimal, Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), Suranga Lakmal, Dhammika Prasad, Chanaka Welegedera, Suraj Randiv, Rangana Herath
