Saj's figures looking healthy - whether he's bowling well is, I suppose, an entirely different question
I saw him bowl a fair few times last season. He's not the pie-chucker everyone has typecast him as- he's just horribly, horribly inconsistent.

Lancs bowled him very effectively in the middle overs of ODIs with protection. But England will obviously look at the fact that he's fast and because conventional wisdom states you must use your fastest bowlers during powerplays, he'll get smashed.

Strange as it may seem, he was actually pretty good at the death for Lancs this year, bowls those slower ball bouncers pretty well and i guess the batsmen can't predict a length for him. Not to say he wouldn't get smashed at international level tho.

Yes. He isn't even consistently very fast, spends a lot of time in the mid to high 80s. It is that ball that he gets above 90mph that is dangerous and can go straight through batsmen. With protection, in a few years time, he could be used as a good middle overs bowler - I just hope management in all his teams focus him on that.

Yes, that slower ball bouncer seems to really flummox some of the weaker county batsmen on the circuit and some of the best, the first few times he bowls it. He must be careful though, as I do think he overuses it.

Really happy Cook has been accommodated at 3, England desperate for someone at that position in one day cricket. I still think he should be playing there at test cricket too, hope Denly has a good tour of SA in limited over cricket and then perhaps that could happen.

Although its still a while away, it will be interessting to what the saffies test attack looks like now that Ntini & M Morkel seem out of contention.

Top 5 gone inside 80 legitimate deliveries.

Then Prior run out two balls later.

And another run out.

Wonderful stuff England. Epic ****wittedness.

What a complete shower.
Agreed but a meaningless game.

Interesting to see that Morgan averages a 50 virtually every 20 games in domestic T20. Given T20 is a game that requires the top order to contribute more than an ODI and depth is less important then that is a worrying figure.
T20 isnt a game for all to chip in but the top 5 to contribute approx 75% of runs (at a guess)

Meaningless game or not it's been a bizarre encounter. Guessing it was turning square if Swanneh opened the bowling and Denly got an over.

Edit : 179 runs scored off 210 delivers in the match. 16 wickets lost between the 2 sides.
