Broad in particular imo.wow the last few minutes have england licking their lips
oh **** yeah. wouldn't mind seeing curran around the wicket to the right handers trying to hit that crack tooBroad in particular imo.
Agreed. It doesn't look as if Root did a lot wrong with a ball that leapt of a length and the rest of the side should be able to set a target beyond 400 on a wicket that's starting to misbehave.Still got to be very happy with that as a day. Don't want to overreact to a rare day of good batting but there are few encouraging signs this winter with Pope, Burns and now Sibley. Root was excellent today as well, sure it looks like the same old story but we have not actually seen that sort of Root recently.
Haven't they already tried that and it didn't work out? Wicket keepers really shouldn't be batting above 6 in test matches anyway as it's just too much to doI think De Kock should bat in top 4 for South Africa he seems wasted coming in at 7
He's played six matches in which he batted in the top 5 and averaged 28.70Haven't they already tried that and it didn't work out?
a Top 4 batsmen getting out the way QDK does?? He might be the most talented player in the side but he shows zero responsibility.I think De Kock should bat in top 4 for South Africa he seems wasted coming in at 7
I didn't really notice it much mid-day but it was definitely becoming excruciatingly slow towards the end. There was a time at which I assumed they were going to easily get in all the overs at about one hour from close, but it seemed to really slow down from this pointOverrate was terrible today and the umpires just allowed faf to get away with it.
4 overs short for the day and that was with Maharaj bowling 27 overs.
Only 1 review and 1 brief injury break too iirc so there wasn't much down time .
Faf was slowing the game down from mid afternoon and the umpires did nothing. That's 4 overs less that SA will have to bat for a draw.
Normally I'm not that concerned but today it was so blatant by South Africa, and there weren't the extenuating circumstances. It's gamesmanship and all teams do it but today was the most obvious I've seen.
