You really shouldn't wade into a discussion with NFI of what's been said. This isn't about any English player.
It was more a general statement tbh. You do have a tendency to take criticism of the English team and anybody in it too personally. We all have our biases, but you do go overboard sometimes

Now in a vague attempt to get back on topic: Well batted Crawley. Makes me feel like I really have achieved jack shite in life

You think everyone who says anything negative about any English cricketer is a ****wit, stop being so precious

Anyway the incident sums up the character of Stokes pretty well. Incredibly talented but has all the burning wit and intellect of a boiled cabbage
Exactly.

Shut up.

It just looks so bad him implying anything sort of violent. Like if it was said outside the ground would he have knocked him out?

Butler's was honestly far worse in isolation as Stokes didn't start this altercation it just looks so much worse coz of Stokes history. I feel bad for him
Stokes did start it, every single player could walk off the field swearing and abusing the crowd if that was the starting point. If a member of the crowd abuses a player then the security staff handle that.

Crowd abuse is always there, its up to the players and if a player responds he has crossed a line.

As an example if a 12 year old child abused me and I responded with abuse could I really use the excuse that he started it. A player should know that there is a difference between the crowds actions and his/hers actions.

Tbf he should have been yelling those insults at a prison guard patrolling the hallways outside his cell
How long do people think someone with no previous convictions gets for an affray in the UK? I doubt he’d even gone to prison.

Can you even get UK citizenship without almost beating someone to death outside some corner pub?

How many points will Stokes lose for this? Clearly worse than what Rabada did.
To be honest it will be interesting to find out what was being said to all of them and fascinating to see what punishment Stokes gets. Clearly worse than the Buttler incident caught on stump mic or the Rabada incident.

Are Specsavers still a major sponsor of England cricket? If so has anyone asked them for comment? The most high profile player has just severely abused a bespectacled cricket fan - their target market.

According to Mark Butcher, Stokes went back to the same area of the crowd after play ended for autographs, pictures, etc. Nice gesture.

Not 100% sure about the 12 year old analogy as this bloke was middle aged. Probably inebriated and maybe inbred, but not necessarily infantile. Not that Stokes was right to reply in kind though.

And talking of security staff, it would be nice if these guys did their jobs since some of England's support staff were abused too, but I don't think any of the offenders have been dealt with.

Don't think the spectator in question would be complaining. Got what he came for.
I'd like to think you're right, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in one of the papers looking suitably upset about Stokes's response to his harmless banter.

England should have put all the doubters to rest and bowled 1st after winning toss to prove they not a one dimesional team.
