Had to look him up, which answers your question. Having seen who he is, I now remember being quite impressed by some of his bowling against New Zealand (was only following of Cricinfo, mind). Wouldn't really declare myself to be a fan, though.

(This feels like some kind of initiation question)
***** likes this.

But does cricket need a strong West Indies?

I enjoyed Aleem Dar's tweet (assuming it's a real account) to Broad the other day saying something along the lines of "You must show respect young man!" Unfortunately since been deleted.

Well, I basically just like Charmander

And, having browsed that thread, I'm going to avoid that particular question

In other news, duminy and vilas both score double centuries for their franchise and in a record tth wicket stand.

Also local white players are in negotiations to stay away from first class cricket because of the insane quota system in local first class cricket (6/11 players must be of colour of which 3/11 MUST be black african)

So worthy record?

I really hope Steyn's career isn't coming to an end. What a privilege it has been to watch him. Can't find it on YouTube right now but his 6/8 against Pakistan is the best spell of bowling I've ever watched.

England have to take their chance to win the series at the Wanderers. As long as it's a good cricket wicket, it should be quite close given England haven't won on a fast pitch in a test match since their win at the Wanderers in 2004/05. Hopefully, Hales pulls a Trescothick and solves our opening problem.

Who bowls for SA with Steyn out? Morris didn't really look worthy of a second chance given how badly he bowled with the second new ball.

I expect Rabada to be a handful, Cook to fail again, Root to get a fifty then caught wk or slips and Stokes to enjoy ball coming onto bat (if his ton at Perth was anything to go by).

It would be a bit of a shame if Steyn doesn't end up with close to 500 wickets at <23. Deserves to end up with that career record, hopefully injuries don't rob him of it.

Morris had a decent game despite being pounded by Stokes, but I don't think it was good enough to see him move up in the pecking order ahead of Rabada. It should basically leave him exactly where he was IMO. If Abbott's completely fit he should come in for Morris, and if he's not they should go in unchanged.

Rabada didn't bowl that well to be honest. He should probably stay in as he was next in line anyway but i was a bit disappointed with him. Loads of boundary balls.

If Abbot had played in CPT the result might have been other than a draw.... You need one bowling allrounder in your four main bowlers. Zondi hinted that a four seam attack was an option if the pitch warranted it.

With Abbott back they should still have a strong attack. Wonder who out of Morris/Rabada gets the bullet.
Indications are that SA will play 4 seamers and leave elgar with the spinning duties. Indications are for a fast pitch and for some thunderstorms to be around for the game. So believe they will play abbot, morkel, radaba and morris.
