He was atleast bowling a bit. Now with Piedt in the team, his usefulness is severely lessened

Pretty sad state of affairs. Most of the senior batsmen in the SA lineup are out of form or mentally shot. Faf has regressed a lot in test cricket. Did well in the shorter formats of the game in India. Hashim is out of form in all formats. JP too is struggling in test format, and hasn't scored a century in shorter formats in ages. This team hasn't been the same since world cup semis.

England on the other hand have been pretty consistent in test cricket. I am more impressed by their current shorter format exploits. They are preparing and playing very well keeping in mind the next world cup.
