How do you manage to not bat out the overs in a T20 while setting a target? Still, looks a decent enough score though I have no idea how the wicket is playing.

Its a very good wicket. I don't think not even one of those wickets came from the pitch doing anything. SA are going to cruise.

I doubt England are going to get out of the Group Stage at the WT20. These collapses are going to be playing on their minds going into the tournament and I doubt that will stem them. To think we had a settled LO team before arriving in SA...

Glad England accommodated Billings, though. As you've said before.
I never said to bring him in for a bowler, you cant judge him on 1 innings ffs. Do you still think Ali is more suited to come in at the end of an innings?

About 20-30. Short pathetic collapse. The lower middle order has to change and Roy has to go.
Yes. I know it's tempting to put Buttler up higher but really he's the only one who can bat at 6/7. I don't rate Billings, but I don't know who else could play down there.

You can't put opening batsmen at 8. It doesn't work. It looks good on paper, but it just doesn't work. Rashid and Jordan will be as effective, if not more so. Unfortunately they were useless as well this time.

The top 4 have to bat longer though in T20 and ODIs. One of them should be at the crease going into the final over.

That's about as bad an opening over as you're going to get. Lucky it only went for 14. The first over goes for 5-6 runs on average.

Apparently he's the perfect batsman to come in and finish off an innings according to Compton.
Well no. That's not even almost the point I made. I just said I don't think his style makes him a better opener than #8.

I've seen nothing from him to suggest that him opening the batting on current form would be anything other than a disaster.

Still, why let pesky facts get in the way?
